Re: Topic Tuesday tonight at 7pm AEST / Technology that makes our lives easier

I found this app, App4care specically for carers to keep in touch with their loved one. Not sure if its the greatest, I just found it by doing a google search. Might be worth a look though for carers who worry about the safety of their loved one.

Thats a good idea for an app 🙂

One of the Apps claim you can use it when you dont have any credit on your phone- do these sorts of things only work when you have data?

Re: Topic Tuesday tonight at 7pm AEST / Technology that makes our lives easier

@Baboo not sure. I would presume you need credit on your phone to use the internet, but if it's saying you don't need credit than maybe you don't for that app. Interesting indeed!

Here's another one:

E-Couch

"e-couch is a self-help interactive program with modules for depression, generalised anxiety & worry, social anxiety, relationship breakdown, and loss & grief.

It provides evidence-based information and teaches strategies drawn from cognitive, behavioural and interpersonal therapies as well as relaxation and physical activity."

And:

This Way Up has both online support (clinicians) and self-help resources for people affected by depression or anxiety.

Re: Topic Tuesday tonight at 7pm AEST / Technology that makes our lives easier

i found one here that helps with the prevention of nightmares- it reminded me of lucid dreaming a little- i spoke to a forum member yesterday about it. Using sounds and pictures to try to set your self up for a nice dream adventure rather than a stressful one

That's it for tonight. Thanks to everybody for their contributions. I hope you all got something to add your tool kits.

Until next time...
