A long rave

Re: A long rave

@BryanaCamp  Hi BryanaCamp sorry that you are feeling flat. I am feeling a bit the same way after a busy week walking.  Will take it easy tomorrow as it is meant to be raining anyway. Maybe take a walk down the road on Sunday. Have you got much on? or will it be a quiet one for you?

Re: A long rave

Good morning all @Bunniekins @BryanaCamp @Adge @Appleblossom @Shaz51 @Exoplanet @CheerBear @Zoe7

Funny but true ..... yesterday evening my brother and I sat beside the new pool on the new concrete and had a couple of glasses of wine.  After a while he asked me if my bum was stinging .... fast forward .... we both have concrete burns on our buttocks and let me tell you it's not comfortable!  And this type of burn needs to be treated with something oil based but before we found that out we had tried vit E cream, sorbolene, aloe vera, and calendula cream - all of which made it sting a lot more.  The solution seems to be almond oil.  I'm sure we'll look back on this and laugh but not just yet.

So I probably won't get to do water tai chi this week coz the burn is right around the area under the bottom of my swimmers.  That would be embarassing.  Just hoping it heals easily and doesn't get infected or anything.

Hope you've had a good laugh on me!

Re: A long rave

Oh @eth I don't know whether to laugh at your misfortune or feel sorry for you so I will do both lol That will make for a funny story down the track - when the pool is full next summer and your are sipping on a drink or two you can look back to yesterday with your brother and have a giggle about it Smiley Tongue

Hope it heals quickly for you though - must be really uncomfortable Smiley Surprised

Re: A long rave

Hi @Adge   how slack of the nurse that's meant to be doing your home visits.  Hope you managed to get some attention to your wound yesterday.

@saturnzoon  I hope you had a peaceful day yesterday and that you are finding a way through all the pressures of life at the moment.

@BryanaCamp  hope today is a better day for you.

I'm around for a while if anyone wants to chat.

Re: A long rave

Snap!  @Zoe7   How are you today?

Re: A long rave

I am good @eth Snuggled up with Toby on the couch and enjoying the day to myself. Have to do some things later but no rush - just taking the day as it comes.

Re: A long rave

I have a quiet day at home too @Zoe7 .  My usual saturday afternoon support has been cancelled.  They offered me a substitute but I went out with her once before and don't want to go with her again.  She made too many statements about breaking up with her husband, having done rehab for alcohol in the last six months, and even about finding alcohol her daughter had hidden from her while she was packing.  I get that they are peer support workers, not qualified, but this was inappropriate over-sharing on her part and I felt really uncomfortable with her.  It might sound selfish but the bottom line is they are supporting me, not vice versa.

Re: A long rave

Totally understandable @eth You don't need that extra drama in your life - as you said - they are there to support you and it sounds like she is the one that needs support so not approriate for your needs.

The weather is certainly making it a perfect day to be inside - raining over the night and expecting more today ...and no very warm so snuggles and a little footy watching is going to be my day.

Re: A long rave

Lots of rain overnight here too @Zoe7   The garden really needed it.  A nice day for snuggling up.  I might watch some my kitchen rules on-line.  And do some reading about the woman taking the writing workshop I'm doing next Friday.  Also want to do my bridge homework at some stage as I'm having a practice with sil's mum tomorrow.  I've let it slide this fortnight as my partner was away and I missed the lesson with my cold.

Have  a peaceful day.

Re: A long rave

I still need to get out and water some of my garden - there is a section under the trees that doesn't get much rain so needs constant watering.

How is your cold now? Is it completely cleared up? They often hang around for a while so hoping you are getting on top of it @eth

Rewatching Jack Irish at the moment - it is a good series that I enjoyed - can't remember how this one ended so hapy to watch it again.
