That's an interesting synchronicity with changing places at around the same time, @CheerBear. C and I worked out once that I visited the place he grew up when we were both children. The cousins I visited at that time lived in the next street to his family home. It's interesting to me the way life paths can connect sometimes, without us even knowing it.
I've been up for almost two hours now and only had about three hours sleep before then, so I'll sign off now to get some more shut-eye. Thanks for another lovely early morning meeting. Peaceful feelings, and hopefully some laughs or smiles to you today.

Good morning, @eth! So good to see you back again.
Awesome that you had a wonderful time on your family visit to see your new grandchild, spend time with your other grandchild, and other immediate family. Hope you enjoyed the road trip with sil's mother too. I wonder who your house guests and visitors have been since Thursday. Sounds like you were straight back into appointments with support workers too.
Look forward to chatting when you have caught up on the posts! I may go back to bed for a while now, but will most likely be online later in the day. Welcome back!

Hey @Mazarita and @CheerBear great to hear from you. Sorry I didn't reply immediately - I was catching up and posting on my 2 other threads.
Have a good rest @Mazarita and we'll catch up later. Looking forward to hearing all your news. Same to you @CheerBear xx
House guests were my Dad's 2nd wife (he died in 2000 and I visited Canada then and in 2012) and her more recent partner for 2 nights and including a day trip to the farm, and evenings spent with my aunt and uncle visiting as well - hadn't seen them for about 30 years. The two couples have now headed off on a road trip to the north along the east coast. Spending about 5 days to do around 800 km so time to see lots of beautiful spots between here and there. The Canadians loved the farm and we did a 2 hour bush walk on rough terrain which took it's toll on my afterwards, but was worth it to see their fascination with our different foliage and their hunt for marsupials.
My grandchildren were a delight - what more can I say??!! A highlight was making pancakes with miss 4 1/2 - it's becoming a tradition for us and she loves doing it with me. And of course cuddles with bubba. The best being the time bub was crying and I managed to settle them into sleep on my chest. Magic moments. Great to be able to spend time with the parents too of course. And give some support to my adult child who is still recovering physically, unable to chest feed which they really wanted to do, and on an emotional roller coaster. I came home really wishing I could stay there and support for weeks as I did with the first child, but they are determined to manage and a very dedicated couple of parents together.

sounds lovely @eth
you have had a very busy time away and since coming home
I will let you catch up on last 10 pages probably more by now laugh
I am a tad weary at the moment so not writing too much..a bit here and there...
hello @Mazarita your boost of energy is lasting which is just what you need..enjoy your day
@outlander thinking of you...knowing that you are settling yourself in the background..
hoping that your visit to the doctor was of use...
encouraging news for your unwell friend @CheerBear
@Exoplanet you must be very busy with your new completely fenced property at last....if it was me I would be walking around looking at it every day...the dogs are probably sniffing everywhere....are you worn out now that it is finished finally?
@Adge@eudemonism@saturnzoon@CheerBear
renting would be very difficult..
finding a place in an area near schooling...if have a family...
having pets certainly does cut down the options..
we had to find somewhere quickly when property sold..had 3 weeks...
we have two cats...I did not think it could eventuate..then husband remembered friend had rental properties..
a couple were moving out the week before our settlement...
owners did not really want pets...as they knew us they allowed...
Someone I think it might have been @eudemonism mentioned putting a notice up...this is a good idea in local supermarket where you are now and where you would like to move to...community centre..school community notice board?
often things come together by talking with others rather than us trying to work it out on our own..
I am Miss Independent to the max ...so discovering that this works is a wake up call for me...
I do wish you good luck...
the other option @Mazarita mentioned I think....asking for an extended period whilst finding somewhere else..owner might not have new tenants yet...
take care all
off to wash up last night's dishes...ate late..husband home late from sports...no matter..

@Sophia1 Good morning, always lovely to hear from you Sophia1, my doc went well thankyou. I am gradually bringing down my doses of medications .... just a bit to see if it helps at all with my weight gain. I won't go off them completely just a wee bit. Other than that not much news life rolls on. My children are in a good place atm which is great. Son2 is having his medications looked at by his pdoc as he takes so much and suffers all the side effects if we can bring them down I will be very happy. See how that goes.
Daughter is doing well .... just have to keep the momentum going there and son1 (who I never really discuss because he is doing great except for the crohns is also doing well there).
I hope you have a good day today Sophia1. Lots of love greenpeaxx
