A long rave

Re: A long rave

 Hi @Shaz51 @eth @outlander @Mazarita and and.....cheeky gorgeous @Appleblossom

I am ashamed to say that I'm watching the Chaser. Mr G has lost 5 k so he's very happy but Im like his slave running around for him because he says that his knee still hurts. I completely think it's Psychosymatic but this may be my tired and bitter side.....my k gain.........his knee kneediness. CAn't believe I dont get sex because his knee hurts.

but the one which I cannot get over is the walker he got from the hospital and the knee di ness.

I dont need sex anyway.....

...........................................................................................................

Yes, self care has been a mind bender for me.

We joined a little tiny Prebitirian church and Mr G of course brings in Mohammed, Hinduism, blah blah to bible study and two women are jumping up and down speaking in loud tones " Jesus is the WAY, the truth and the LIGHT.

OMG it's very funny.

Mr G says, yes but the Koran says......... "OH,"  say the two women in loud tones..... " JESUS is the way and the TRUTH and the LIGHT !!!"

Mr G says, well what about Mohammud who says...... " NO say the two women a little louder. " JESUS is the way and the truth and the LIGHT."

We made a mistake last week. or the week before. Mr G and me sy that we are voting yes for the vote. We said that it's just what we believe and also, what about the little children when they are in life threatening situations, they need to have 2 parents on their details.

one of those women spoke loudly," there is only about 3 or 4 or at the most 5 cildren who need that .....

so we left feeling like we were defeated but happy to wake tomorrow morning........

Re: A long rave

Oh Dear @PeppiPatty ROFL

Maybe you helped me become cheekier or was it Mr G who helped you.

After a while its hard to know.

Lovely to hear about your journeys.

SInce we last "spoke" I have learned something about myself which explains a lot of my weirdness about gender issues.

My son and I have our envelopes on the bench to post tomorrow.

I think it is important to bring up Muhammed in religious circles occasionally as we are all living side by side, or at least we are in Melbourne.

I dont do it to stir which I think may be Mr G's motive ... Oh dearie me ...

Re: A long rave

As I've already posted in the 'Walking for Wellbeing' thread, I walked about 3km in total yesterday, up and down the coastline a couple of suburbs from here, for a sculpture festival. This was an outing with C, and two other friends we see only about every six months or so as they live at a bit of a distance. We had lunch at a cafe together and were home about dinnertime. After that we grabbed a snack and went to visit our close friend around the corner for an 'after-dinner' get-together. So virtually no forum time yesterday.

Today has been busy and good too. Trip to the local shopping centre to get prints made of photos to send to my mum. One of them is a photo of an oil painting of one of my ancestors who was born in Scotland in 1770! It was emailed to me yesterday by a fellow descendant who lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. He and I met via the net. I thought @Shaz51, my sister in Scottish ancestry, might especially appreciate this part of my day. After that, another visit to friend nearby. Then early evening out again to a guided night time torch tour through a little national park nearby. For the first time in 15 years of living in Queensland, I saw a koala! About 2.5km walking tonight, half of it was all uphill (=hard work for me!)

@PeppiPatty, we have missed you too. Heart Smiley Happy I smiled at your puns on the word 'knee', and your account of the church gathering you attended with Mr G. Good on him for challenging things, though it sounds like the response was fairly knee-jerk. By the way, the mirror thing for me does not involve sitting there looking at myself. At best, I have managed fleeting moments with it. Still working on how to do it really, mainly not doing it, but want to give it a go. On the occasions that I have smiled at myself in the mirror, I have mainly liked it, and also realise I look much better and friendlier smiling, than the usual resting bitch face, lol. Smiley LOL

@eth, sounds like your timing with the WRAP is good, given the strain the NDIS application process has brought with it. Missing you, but glad to be getting better quality sleep than usual these past days. Hope your sleep has been going okay too. Heart

Hi too to @outlander@Appleblossom@CheerBear and others passing through. Sending good cheer to all. Smiley Happy

Re: A long rave

Good morning @Mazarita 😊

I love reading about you heading off on your adventures, especially ones with your friends. I get the warmest feelings imagining the connection and closeness you have with your people 💓. What an awesome thing to send to your mum too! I have a couple of really special things that connect me with my from a long time ago relatives (a locket with a monogram engraving is one - so amazing!). I find it kind of grounding to think of my connection with the past.

I hope today has lots of good in it for you 😊💛

Good morning, @CheerBear, thanks for your lovely early morning post.

Re: A long rave

Hi @Mazarita just saw your post.  Fantastic news about your sleep!  What a breakthrough for you Smiley Happy

I'm in process turning scrawled notes into the draft of a story.  All about flying too high or too low for a lot of years and gradually learning to stay closer to the middle (Icarus and Daedalus).

Hoping you have a rewarding and productive day.

Re: A long rave

@eth, good to hear your story is progressing. Yes, the Icarus myth is so relevant to us. The solid chunk of sleep last night was great. Oddly I have swelling under one eye this morning. It's a spot where there is always a little swelling these days, which I have put down to age. But it's a bit more than usual today. Monitoring it, hopefully it goes down throughout the day. I have almost nothing planned today. But I think I will try for a walk in a couple of hours. I need a shower. And there may be a friend visit. Hope your day unfolds really well. ox

Re: A long rave

Goodmorning everyone
Thanks for the shoutout @eth

Re: A long rave

There you go @Mazarita lol

Last night I was opposite. Not much sleep at all.Oh well.

A busy outdoors day.

We saw 2 largish tortoises "making love"

or mounting etc ... My son and his gf were amazed. Yeah they are back together.

Went on for a while and the facial expressions of the male was priceless. It was hilarious, gave us lots to joke about in an open uncomplicated way.

My mother and religion screwed my 2 sibs and I up re sexuality. Throw CSA for all of us into the mix and it was a mess that took me 40 years to figure out.

So animals can strip away some of the fear and darkness.

@outlander Thinking of you as animal lover.

Our lion pride put on a good display today. There were some good bassy roars so my kids felt they got the real deal. 2 young 9 month old males were fooling around, rolling around cuddling, squashing each other, massaging, nuzzling, jumping on to high ground and swapping .  There was gentle coercion but huge obvious affection. It went on for 30 mins.

One 2 year old human child lol

was swinging her coat around at the glass and a cub was chasing up & down a couple of metres and playing with her.  They were only inches from each other.

It is a testament to the thorough care of the keepers that they are so happy healthy and well adjusted. These are the baby cubs I posted about born last December.

Guess what. We also have 4x 4 wk old bubs latched onto their mum's nipples in the night dens.

Our mighty male lion is gorgeous and virile with 3 litters of 3, 4 and 4.WOW. A real hunk. Apple is finally starting talk about sex. Wooo Hooo.  Not sure that means "any action" tho ... lol

The 2 sisters are busy aunties to each others broods til next litter are big enough to be transferred to new homes to start new prides.

@Former-Member just thought I tag you to this.  Sharing my enthusiasm.  and @Neelix @eudemonism
