Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

thank you my awesome friends @Former-Member , @CheerBear HeartHeart

hello @Peri , @Beslyne11

hello @Former-Member , thinking of you soo much , how are you xxxx

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

I've arrived and checked into my city hotel after the first leg of my return train journey home.

Really struggling to contain a rising panic. Been catching up on my notifications here in an effort to distract from other thoughts. Made a hot cuppa. Failing to avert.

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

hey @Former-Member is it just a one night stay before travelling home again?

i know the city is triggerring for you, is there anything that helps you to feel safer or less anxious?

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Thanks @Appleblossom

Yes @outlander , just one night. Train connections on return journey are bad, hence the necessity to stay overnight in the city. Catch next train early tomorrow.

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

thankfully its only one night @Former-Member
have you managed some dinner and a shower to start preparing for bed?

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Yeah @outlander , one night more than enough.

I watched some of the state of origin footy, but couldnt really follow it.

Had a nice hot shower. No dinner as I didnt want to go back out once in my room.

Noisy, everywhere there is noise. Traffic, people, unidentified other sounds. Cant switch off.

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Hopefully you may get a little bit of sleep @Former-Member  or at least be able to settle if thr noise dies down abit.

Would putting the tv on for some background noise and something  to focus on be helpful?

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Sitting with you @Former-Member  knowing how tough  being  in the city is for you 🌸💖

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Hi @Former-Member,
Do I hear the sound of deep sleep happening 😊 Hope so, if not try two headache pills, helps me nod off. Guess you're leaving your mum & dad is hard but what a whirlwind blessing you've been. Is ma still in hospital?
