Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Hi @Former-Member .....

I hope you were able to at least relax with that thought of tallied half-sleep ..... maybe even enough to nod off for a bit.

Its the stress of worrying about not sleeping that sometimes keeps us awake.

I am travelling overseas and in a different time zone, so just wanted to drop this post here for you to find whenever, to let you know I am thinking of you.

❤️💕

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Thanks @Appleblossom@Faith-and-Hope for your input and advice.  So very much appreciated.

Faith and hope you are right of course in that just resting does provide some benefit, and so I do try to remind myself of that when I havent slept.  My psych has also told me pretty much the same as what you have here.

And thanks for dropping in, despite you travelling and in a different time zone.  Happy and safe travels to you.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Good to hear from you @Former-Member.  You're sounding a bit better.  I hope you did manage a little sleep in there somewhere ....

I have got a travel thread going, if you're interested.  It's called Far and Away,  although we're heading home within the next couple of weeks.  I am hoping others will post here as they travel so we get a bit of a pot pourri of travel stories happening to keep the thread travelling too.

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope.  No sleep exactly, but perhaps some of that 'rest' you spoke of.  Woman Indifferent

I will check out that travel thread you mentioned.  Sounds like a bit of fun.

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Hi @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope @Appleblossom

Shaz51, it was lovely to hear from you as well.

Me?  Nah, not so good.

My beautiful Holly however - she's great!  She is what keeps me going I think, my dog.

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Hello @Former-Member xx

I am sorry to hear you are not so good.  my friend HeartHeart

I am here if you wnat to talk my dear friend

Re: My introduction - Living with PTSD

Thanks @Shaz51 that is so lovely of you to offer a sympathetic ear.

But to be honest I dont think talking will help right now.  I really just want to curl up somewhere alone, and forget life for a bit.

I think my mood is not being helped by the fact that I am not sleeping, that my brother is going through another tough time right now, plus it is quickly nearing the anniversary of my own trauma.  Just not easy all round at present I guess, and I'm letting it get me down.

Thanks everyone, I know you're there.  And I know where to come if I do feel the need to talk.

xx
