a horse i was close to had to be pts. i was there as support for the owner and to talk to the vet and help with the horse. it is so hard seeing animals in immense pain, it had that look on its face like it knew. the poor owner was a mess as expected. i ended up driving her home (she has her partner there)

That is tough @outlander and it is to be expected that you are upset about that. Sorry for the loss Hon - even though it was not your horse it does not take away that pain or that loss, Hugs

So sorry to hear that @outlander it sounds like you have been an amazing support to the owner throughout the process. Nice work 🙂 Here's hoping we can offer you support now.

I personally find comfort in knowing the animal is no longer in pain. Lossing animals is so hard, I think of you @outlander as being very intune with animals, opens us up emotionally. I love animals too 🙂

the same thing happened to my horse this time last yr. its not nice to see at all.

yes @Former-Member the only good thing is they arent in pain anymore. to have what needed to be fixed it was going to cost over $10,000 and no garentee of a fix. and yes i am intune with animals and people too.
