Daily goals, motivation and check in

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

SOunds good @Shaz51

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

I have been feeling pretty good lately. Mum and dearly love aunt visited me.....aint that nice, mum is 85 and Aunt is 90. The aunt is slowing down, finding flying from London is wearing (!!!), mum suggested it was easier to visit me rather than the other way around. Bought that wretched cyclone Debbie in their wake, but I had TimTams for mum, and whiskey for my godmother so all was well. Arent I lucky!

I FINALLY finished a knitted rug which I shall post a picture shortly. Very happy with the result. Survived a group I belong to, coming to my place for the morning. I like the women very much but have discovered POLITICS now I am secretary.....oh lord...I just want to embroider. However, there is always some nasty little toerag who likes stirring the pot.  I took the position ONLY to help someone and have no intention of continuing in the role if nasty whispers happen, oh yes, I heard from a third party so maybe they like stirring as well......this is good for my paranoria!

Hi @Neb 😊

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

A drop-out-of-everything, nightie day yesterday, mostly slept until the afternoon. But I still managed to get in about seven hours sleep in total last night. Today I want to gently get myself moving again if I can. So, tbd:

  • breakfast
  • meds
  • make bed
  • dress
  • second meds
  • washing
  • kitchen
  • walk
  • possible other stuff

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hello @Mazarita, @Former-Member, @Faith-and-Hope, @Neb, @Appleblossom

well today I have

  • slept in to 9-30
  • washed the sheets
  • done the dishes
  • two loads of washing
  • Forum
  • lunch
  • T.v

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Did everything on my list today except washing and the kitchen benches (did the dishes only). Went for my 'small' walk today, which is probably around a kilometre and a half around a nearby school. Not on the list was ending up having dinner with friend in the neighbourhood. A much better day all up than I anticipated when I wrote the tbd list earlier today. Again, there's no doubt that having the list to 'guide' me, helped me get more done than I otherwise might have. Thanks again for starting the thread, @Former-Member. Woman Happy

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi too everyone on this thread. My diagnosis is in the schizophrenia categories. I take the 28 day depot to manage the symptoms. And today I have... -been for a drive -went for walk with dog -got cat food & dog food -replied to some emails & sent a few texts -rang mechanic and booked car in -put load of washing on -posted some stuff -had coffee with friend -done a journal entry -had shower -brushed teeth and a couple other things.

Bye the end of the week. I'm hoping to have new phone and walking shoes. And have put rego on the car (debating if should sell car and buy push bike) cars are stressful and costly) wanting to at least walk for about an hour each week (but main problem is chafing cause of weight gain) so hesitation sets in) & motivation and focusing on the walk- I sometimes do photography when I'm out on my walks)

-I text parents this morning and tried to reach out to them for support. And I get frustrated because there is tension in between myself and other family members (not necessarily noticeable or may just be me and my condition) and it's always me reaching out to them. And I get nothing in return. -and it takes time, effort and money to reach out to them. -and general friendships ain't always what they seem. (Would really like to be more Independent and have people reach out to me rather then the other way around)

Will be pacing myself into the afternoon with some writing, music and art. And some lunch. Maybe even some reading. -got dozens of goals I want to achieve. But will be a timely process.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @eudemonism, great to see you here. I find this discussion thread very helpful. It generally gets me doing more than I would otherwise. Just the tallying up the small parts of my days helps in itself even if I don't do everything I want. When I don't reflect on my activities in small pieces here, I tend to generalise and feel like I am doing 'nothing'. Which makes me feel just bad all the time. So, for me, contributing here is a hopeful place to be. Hope it works well for you too.

My day so far:

  • about 9 hours sleep
  • video making (yes, first thing in the day, lol)
  • wash and dress
  • breakfast
  • meds
  • chat with companion
  • make bed
  • forum

Up next:

  • beach walk
  • washing
  • ring airline to make an alteration for mum
  • shower
  • maybe dinner at friend's place
  • forum

Wishing everyone a good day. Woman Happy
