Happiness

I just need to share this: for the first time in so very long, today I actually feel happy. Nothing particularly exciting happened - in fact something unpleasant occurred. It hasn't taken my pleasure away. I had a picnic lunch with another mother and our children. We sat in the sun, on some grass near a playground.
We initially sat somewhere else, and were moved on for being inadvertently on "private" land, but it didn't upset me. It was a simple, enjoyable time. And I feel happy. I think I'd forgotten how that feels.
I feel light. This is wonderful. Wow!

Re: Happiness

That's awesome @GothMum ! Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like you have great resiliency to look past the crappy stuff and appreciate the good stuff!

Re: Happiness

Family picnics can be the best.  Glad you could share it with others on land, whoever it belonged to, and then with us.

Re: Happiness

@Former-Member I know under the playful, giving and beautiful nature is a person in pain, and your name and avatar bring a little skip to my heart when I see you around. Your love for others and your ability to so willingly give to others is a precious gift despite all you go through. I admire you even more for the love, care and kindness to give to your fur babies that is clearly evident in the photos. So to hear you considering leaving the forums was especially hard to hear, but I understood, as that thought had been in my own mind on occasions.

If being here in this thread brings you joy, then go for it. You'll get lots of likes from me, as goodness knows I need some joy back in my life.

Don't ever stop being you @Former-Member. You are a gift from God above. 😇💝💝💝💝💝

Re: Happiness

Hiya guys, good yo see yas☺

@Former-Member, thanks for the tag ☺ its hard to feel "happy" all the time, unrealistic really, actually, I'm gonna throw a spanner in the works and say - I don't believe in happiness. Well, not the use of that word as such, I prefer 'JOY'

One night I was crying and so sad and I prayed and protested to God (after a major loss), I said "how can I ever be happy again?" And as clear as a bell, the message came yo me, from The Holy Spirit I guess, said "yes, but you have my joy". Oh yeah, the thought helped me explore the spiritual side of happiness - joy. This is dependant on things we can't see with our natural eye. I guess thats faith, we have to chose to also see beyond and have hope. Hard to explain but I think you get it. Like with mindfulness, we see and notice with the natural eye but it wakes up the spiritual side - the beauty, wonder, gratitude, love, peace... and joy. Even for short moments in a day - that can change everything.

But I hear you Bella, its hard to be Thankful when feeling so sick... and more than your share of shocking life changes, and things going wrong in body, and pain.

We live in a broken world - its not your fault. 💜💜💜

I'm proud of yoy not letting yourself fall into such a pit through dwelling on negative side of my life. I sometimes sadly find myself there, or comingbout of one, not fun, but you are so strong inside.

I'm glad you didnt leave us last night, after a panic attack. Its sometimes hard to know whe are taking on too much, where our limits are, to syop taking on on more than we can handle. We really do need to be more self aware. Again, meditation helps this inner balance for me, when I do it lol.

Glad you found this old Thread

You got it "happiness, Joy, & Laughter, are "medicine to the soul" - its in the bible, .

Also, ya right - Meds are only part of what heals us.

You do encouraged me, thank you. Don't know ya well but hoping to change that. If I remember lol

Hugs backatcha! 💜💜💜
