Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

@rav3n it was helping until I got a message to say that someone from NDIS was going to call my within the next hour, now my stomach is in knots.

Thankyou for going through it with me, i think I'll definitely be using this one again though cos it was helping until that.

Hope you have a good night ❤️

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

3 things I can see

The blue blanket wrapped around me. It's soft and semi-fluffy, it feels light but it's adding another layer of warth.

The light of the TV reflecting off the dark wood grained coffee table in front of me. The room is dark, so the light is soft.

The white ceiling fan above me. It's still and also reflecting the light from the TV.

3 things I can hear...

The fan of the electric heater. It's a constant whirr in the background of the room. It's close.

My dog's panting, sleep breathing. She's asleep on the couch beside me  so she's close, but the sound is soft.

My heart beating in my head. It's loud and close and I can feel it as well as hear it.

Move 3 parts of my body...

I wriggled my toes in my slippers.

Gave my jaw a wriggle side to side to try and relax it.

Adjusted my shoulders against the lounge.

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

Hey mate. What's this? @rav3n

Are we breathing together  did I miss it?

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

appreciate you sharing @NightFury 💙

it's a grounding tool, called the 3-3-3 rule, the explanation of how it works is in this link
@Sunnyside226 you can go through it any time (and as many times) as you'd like! you can tag other members that are around or you can go through it on your own. i'll be running a new one in a fortnight as well. we might do some breathing ones in the future 💙

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

3 things I can see...

The light outside framing the outline of the window

The grey/black darkness of my bedroom

The two different coloured curtains which are different shades in the dark.

3 things I can hear...

My heart pounding in my ears. It sounds close...I can feel and hear it

A dog barking in the street. The bark is high pitched and further away.

The front gate banging in the wind.

Move 3 parts of my body...

Half biting, half sucking on my thumb nail (yes, I still do this sometimes even as an adult)

Moving my other thumb as I type

Curling and uncurling my toes.
