@jem80 It was a terrible game for Essendon on ANZAC day - I was really quite disappointed but I go for the Lions so I am used to not winning games lol
I don't mind rugby union but more of a league fan ![]()
I do love tennis - watch most of the Grand Slams, Davis Cup and Fed Cup but don't have any real favourite players - do follow the Australian women more than the men these days though.

Hi again @Zoe7; long time no see...
My sporadic visits as they've been hopefully don't detract from you knowing I appreciate you and especially our fun chats when I first arrived. I haven't forgotten and still think of them often.
I love sport; since my breakdown though and the problems preceding it, I'd lost that passion and competitive spirit I've been known for most of my life. It's as if the brain said; "I'll just put that on hiatus. No point having passion when it's not necessary"
So, since my recovery has stepped it up a couple of notches, I thought I'd join in and force it into the foreground. 🙂 Better out than in I always say...
I may not watch as much sport on telly as I used to, and my body's round instead of proportionate, but I figure if I can lose a few (hundred) kg's, I could possibly join a table tennis comp which I used to do with my son.
Looking forward to chatting and playing the fool again.

A can-do attitude...
I love this...me all over! Somewhere under the layers of fat, I have muscles that can pack a damn good right jab!
I love water sports too, not quite what I had in mind, but am loving the black toenail polish 🙂
Sis boom bar! These gals inspire me!
Booyar!!!

The semi final was a lot closer than I would have liked @frog and we will have to step it up in the final to win - but I am looking forward to it. It will be tough but we have the players that could win it.
I am not watching the A-league final tonight - don't have a preference as to who wins - what about you?

I'm watching the game tonight @Zoe7 I hope the Jets win. I like both teams and was happy to see them get up over the big $ teams - Melbourne City and Sydney FC. I'm actually a Brisbane fan, A league wise, and they had quite a crumby season.
My kids are going to watch it with me and I made some half time slices to have with cocoa. I have to do some ironing, but at least I'll be tuned in to the football.
Agree re the Champions League. It will be tough but I really hope they get up!

@MDT I love to hear of people that are passionate about their team no matter where they are on the ladder (or which division they are in). I feel the same way with Brisbane Lions but I do wish they could get it together a bit more - they have so many talented younger players and I hope they don't lose heart with their losses - I will be watching when they play tomorrow although I suspect it will be a big loss ...such is the life of a loyal supporter lol
