How beautiful to see an actual 3D picture of your soon to be born granddaughter. Must be a wonderful feeling. @BlueBay.
When my friends were pregnant, I'd buy a nappy bin & then every fortnight at the supermarket, I would buy something to put inside the bucket:
Bath thermometer, growsuits, bibs, socks, singlets, bottles (bpf free), little cotton wraps, etc.
It didn't add much to my grocery bills & the nappy bucket filled up quickly. I also added a bottle of champagne or wine.

Hey everyone

Update on baby news:

On the weekend my daughter and I went to get the car seat and it was the wrong size for the car. So we had to return it and buy a slimmer type.  The store is installing it tomorrow in my daughter's car.  We are having a baby shower party at my place this coming Sunday.  The past few days we have been buying little gifts for the prize winners.  my daughter wanted to play a few games so we have some gifts.

My daughter has finished work now, she is so happy about that.  no more driving over an hour to get to work and then hitting the peak traffic on her way home.  we have been seeing her daily which is so nice.  we have ordered big balloons for the baby shower, ordered a cake with pink icing on top and little pink booties done in icing (how cute!!)

Next week i am going to help her set the baby's room up, and wash the baby clothes.  She is also going to get her bag packed and ready (just in case), she has only 5 weeks to go now!!! Can you believe it??

Time is ticking away so quickly.  Oh by the way - she was saying to me today that she would like me to be at the birth.  She would like some support and also for me to take some photos of the baby once she is born.  I won't say NO to that!!!!  (Her partner is okay with that)

All she needs to buy still is a changing table for the room and that's it.  

This little baby is going to be so spoilt between me and her - she has so many clothes already, head bands and little blankets.  

Oh and i am crotcheting another pink and white blanket for her, started it yesterday, almost finished.  i will try to put it up here, if i have trouble i will ask a moderator to put it up.

That's all for now on the update.  Can't wait for the time to get closer.

I AM A GRANDMA (NONNA) 

Beautiful little Ayla was born on Thursday night weighing 6ib 9oz by c-section.  She was breech all along and she was 2 weeks early. She is sooo adorable, beautiful, an angel 

I was allowed to leave hospital yesterday to visit her and I held her and changed her nappy as my daughter is in a bit of pain and can't move much.  

As soon as I held her - OMG the calmness, the peace I felt, i wanted to cry but didn't  I held it back.

Oh and another thing, my daughter gave her a second name and guess what it is?  My name.  So she is named after me and my grandma which is Ayla's great great grandma - such a beautiful name (if i say so myself!!!)  I cried when i found out she named her after me.  It is such a beautiful thing to do.  I had no idea.

I am over the moon, I am going again today.  My daughter is so in love with her baby and her partner - oh my he changed her nappy for the first time yesterday and was in a mad panic state LOL 

I told them both they will be fine parents, they will learn as they go and they will make great parents.

I am so proud of my daughter, she is one amazing child. She is taking breastfeeding in her stride and really trying hard to give it a go.

I wanted to share this fantastic news with you all as I know you all came on this pregnancy journey with me.

nawww!!! im so happy for you @BlueBay congratulations Nonna 🙂 and i love the name ayla 🙂 wow, naming her after you too, huge evidence of the love and respect that your family has for you and the person you are to them. Hugs!!!

Congratulations @BlueBay on your beautiful new granddaughter. Ahhh happy days - makes everything worthwhile doesn't it. The way you described feeling when you held your granddaughter in your arms for the first time really does resemble the way you felt when you dreamt it. Remember? All will be good.
