@avant-garde I'll be praying in earnest for you this week, that the new pastor is understanding and caring.
It's really hard when someone knows your background and they speak on topics that are sensitive. It's hard not to feel targeted if it happens all the time. Of course they would probably say no I am not targeting you, it's for the entire congregation and you're just being sensitive but you're not being oversensitive at all. You have a legitimate concern that it might be intentional, but why would he do that? It's just not at all appropriate.
Hugs my sweet girl.
By the way, my house is full of clutter too. I moved back into my house 3 years ago and I still have stuff in the carport and living room, as well as the dining room. My car is not full of stuff but only because I am often the driver for my mum and brother whenever we go somewhere.
Most of my clothes are on the floor in my bedroom. I cleaned it when I moved back in and slowly the clothes pile became a floordrobe and I haven't got the motivation to tidy up. Sometimes I'll start by folding shirts and putting them away and hanging dresses and stuff up but it's all just a big untidy mess.
When I say I understand, I truly do. We have a lot in common sweetie. From this day forward I promise I will always be by your side and never judge you.

@ENKELI Thanks for tagging me! 🤗 I'm sorry you had that experience with your ex-friend! That must have been heartbreaking! I'm on the north coast of NSW. I lived in WA for a couple of years. I stayed at Fremantle back packers and travelled around. I went down to Albany in the winter and up to Darwin in the summer. Definitely the wrong way around! I loved it over there but missed family and friends on the east coast. My car was on the east coast, so I came back to get it to drive back to WA. When I got to the original town I left, I wrote the car off (not my fault) God was telling me where He wanted me. I've been in the area ever since. I too ask God that He may use my pain/traumas to help others. Isn't it great how God can turn our life into something good and use us to help others! 🙃

@ENKELI Yeah. I don't think they like real names of anything on here. After I left the abusive church, I went to the local soup kitchen church. I used to teach Sunday school there. I like both light-hearted and deep and meaningful conversations. I like being tagged as I feel a sense of belonging when I am. I'm happy in the church I'm in now! 🙃
