Christmas Loungeroom

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Yeah mum does like hand cremes and soaps so that is a great idea @BlueBay I;ll have a look around for some nice smelly things this week - maybe a giftbox to start with.

I will probably have to go shopping with Dad at some stage to buy something for her too - it is a bit o f a ritual - the one day of the year that I spend just with my Dad. I didn't go last year as I was too unwell.

@Shaz51 Last year I took her on a cruise to a lovely restaurant - had to book well in advance for that - it is hard to book anywhere because so many places are closed on the day.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

THNX @Zoe7 - non religious ppl at least try to gather with family, but mine is blown apart. Having said that, my son wants to be with me for this Christmas so I suppose I should be thankful and try harder, for him. If he wasn't here I'd check out, so very tired.
Shaz51, said "theres a difference between being religious and just celebrating christmas" i'm neither, but hear you.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Zoe7 You might be able to get something nice in a gift pack in a pharmacy and they can gift wrap it for you too!!

Thats so special - the day with your dad. So very very special snd a day you’ll always remember. ❤️❤️

My phone needs to be charged. I better go.

Goodnight @Zoe7@Shaz51 chat tomorrow. Hope you both sleep well. ❤️❤️

Hi @Former-Member ❤️❤️

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

That does make it super tough not having family around - but I like to think that we are all family here - in a very dysfunctional way - and you have us to lean on to help you get through @Former-Member It is nice that your son wants to spend that time with you Hon - maybe you could spend a little time with him and a lttle with us ...I am going to be checking in here across the day and you are on my list of people to keep an eye out for Heart

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Oh @BlueBay much of my childhood is gone too, blanked out in huge blocks. I have a lot of school memories but not many at home. I do however remember waking one night to dad putting presents on the end if our bed, mum would stuxkttape the light switches so we wouldn't get up before sunrise, it was so exciting, a big family and extremely animated mother sure helped the fun. Try not f you can to pull out one good memory and write it down in detail. It's hard with so much pain blocking but in time little bits will come through. Be strong BB, count your blessings. xox
