Awww @avant-garde, I appreciate you too ❤️. How was your day sweet?

Re: Good Morning!

@Dreamy

Like I said to Ru-bee earlier

Sugar Honey Iced Tea with flipping dandelions

How about you?

Re: Good Morning!

@avant-garde haha that's my saying the sugar honey iced tea 😂.

But in all seriousness I do hope you are ok and know that I'm here for you ♥️

My day has been so messed up, I just want to sleep but I can't. Need a magic off switch so I can turn these thoughts off.

Re: Good Morning!

@Dreamy

I know you are sweetheart.

I'm writing today's poem and something unfamiliar is coming out, a concept of sorts

So hear me out.

As a child were little balls of clay

Our experiences make and shape us to ideally be who we are meant to be

Except when abuse happens and instead of gently guiding us into the beautiful people we want to be, we're shaped to become the human the abuser wants us to be. Instead of a delicate hand of guidance, it's a forceful hand of control making you fit that mould.

All the while saying and doing everything they can to prevent you embodying who you are going to become.

Re: Good Morning!

@avant-garde oh my word, I don't even know what to say. Those words are so powerful and true and really hit home for me. You really are amazing with writing poems, I miss writing them but all that ever comes to me now is a few random lines, not enough to write a whole poem.

Just sending you gentle hugs aswell ♥️

This is an excerpt

the bruises that they heal

but the words, they're something else

the internal scarring that they cause

that's the pain they cause

every word a weapon

to the kicked and beaten soul

until you can't recognise

who you are at all

before you even knew

he was forcing you to fit

hurting you as you grew

when he didn't like that bit

you may appear normal

but he shaped you like a doll

making you fit the mould

that he knows so well
