Musical stuff

Re: Musical stuff

@PseudoPsycho
Whst a wonderful work. I do love it. 🎶😀

Re: Musical stuff

I'm performing it next year with one of my students and also a string quartet and basso continuo.
It has brought me hours and hours of focus on something other than myself, which is amazing therapy haha

Re: Musical stuff

Hi @PseudoPsycho

Making music is wonderful and enormously fulfilling. A time that becomes timeless and freedom from the worries of the world. Oh that is, until you fall from grace with a massive woopsie. 😉

Yep Woman Embarassed

Stabat Maters are great ...

Go Girls ..

so are the Stabat maters by Poulenc and Haydn ... and girls do need the boys ... so we should all just try and get along.

We did the Poulenc last year .. he leaves his endings unresolved so I could not relax into perfect cadences ... kept me on my toes though ...Woman Happy

Re: Musical stuff

hello april
I love music of all kinds also.
I too love music loud when I do the horrid housework.
I dance around the house, send the cats running in all directions,
music lifts my soul and allows me to escape. yes is also have times where music does not help when I need silence and to be with myself curled up .

Re: Musical stuff

Like your comment on dancing around with music and then having time to be by yourself and being kind to yourself as well. Music stirs the soul for so many people. Have a good day and same to april. Bimby2

Re: Musical stuff

@Former-Member. Dancing is about the only exercise I get. When I'm restless and need to use up energy - I put on some good rock music and dance around the house.
Other times, I'll put on something soothing & just let the music take me away & soothe my soul.

Musical stuff

Hi Utopia and Mohill glad you enjoy music and dancing to same. Hope your day has gone well and appreciate your love of musical entertainment for relaxation and enjoyment. Cheers & well wishes.Bimby2

Circled back on an absolute classic: Paul Simon - Graceland

I grew up with this album. It's technically brillant and Simon's lyrics are insightful. Well worth throwing on the stereo.
