Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Oh gosh @Mazarita now you have made me even more hungry! I would love to eat that whole pizza right now!! *virtually munches* I really felt like baked potato & sweet potato - that is a very satisfying meal. Those of you who have read about my stressful living situations in Night Shift know that I don't have much of a kitchen. My partner bakes vegetables on his Mum's weber & I have never used it. If we were lucky enough to have a normal kitchen I would definately be cooking myself right now.

Oh well, maybe I'll lose some weight...

Gosh, my mood is really crashing.............

Enjoy your vegetarian pizza @Mazarita & thank you for giving me a VEGAN virtual one Smiley Happy

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Intense half week here of social contact with many new people in the (scary to me) 'outside world'. Weekly psychologist appointment today intense as always. Support group yesterday very intense. Reunion with an old friend who lives nearby and who I'll now be seeing regularly. Xmas party in the park. It's all really good but I get very wired afterwards and the events and conversations replay in my mind for a long time, often accompanied by some paranoia. But it's all part of the process of climbing out of my shell...

@Former-Member A calm weekend will be really good for you after a big week. We'll be visiting friends about 50 minutes from home for a few hours one afternoon. One of them is in early recovery from brain surgery. The friendship between he and I has previously involved music collaborations and we have become closer through phone calls we've had since he was in hospital. Looking forward to seeing him and his lovely wife. Aside from that, beach walks I hope. Haven't been out much at all this week so looking forward to that.

@Former-Member I admire vegetarians and vegans. Maybe one day I will get there in the real world...

@NikNik I did need the joke explained to me, lol. And I thought it was funny. Cat LOL

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

EVening all,

My dinner tonight is toasted tomato and cheese open faced sandwiches, with fresh basil from the garden. Soooooo good. Happy to share as it is so quick and easy to make.

I had a day off work today (well I called in for a meeting for a couple of hours, but that was all) and it has been lovely. Got lots of housework done and catproofed the back yard in readiness for our new fur-baby coming on the weekend. He'll be our first 'foster', though if it goes well we intend to adopt him!

and look how my chickens have grown!

you know who is leaping all over the place in joy that you messaged him.....

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@NikNik His Foster name is Teddy, but we'll see.... Hubster is good at names and I just use every increasing nicknames (my cat Ripple often gets called Missy Kazoo at the moment), so if we end up keeping Teddy he'll probably evolve into a new name to suit.  We're busting with excitment.
