My son has just come back from his girlfriend's place after his trip up north .. so a few nights away and thank god I can take a back seat.

I have had one thought thought .. a positive thing his psychiatrist said .. a bit about "where we are going to as a family"... sometimes there is so much attention given by causcasians to the need for adolescents to separate but it is really a relative thing .. separate a bit but maintian the links  ... it was nice to think that I can plan as his mother and that does not mean I am a bad over-involved clinging mum .. and then his girlfriend started planning with me .. and so I think we are growing a sense of family that suits the 3 of us. So I am feeling optimistic atm.

My week has been good, i have lights in my house now, it is so weird to go into any room and have a light.

Oooh thanks @Jacques! *Passes the salt* Is that sangria I see on the left?? That will go perfectly with the paella! And @Mazarita that apple pie looks divine! Not gonna lie... I am a bit of a pastry queen... I'll be sure to save some room for dessert tonight!!

Awesome @Jacques must be so good to have some light back in the house?! I am a little bit odd in that I really don't like buying light bulbs (I always seem to get confused and overwhelmed by the extensive choice and subtle differences between them all). But yestreday at the supermarket I literally stood in front of the light bulb section for about 20-30 minutes, and bought a bunch of lightbulbs to replace all the busted ones around my house. It's so much brighter now, I'm amazed. Especially in the kitchen, which is super helpful as I am keeping an eye on my paella which is simmering away nicely...
