@Former-Member Last weekend was one of the busiest yet ..but worth it ... glad that things will be quieter for next couple of months.
Hope you are ok and you husband and daughter coping.
@Former-Member I am backing you at tafe .. at some level you need ... we all need .. the outside stimulation ... family is great and top pf the list but yours are old enough to get it together to share you with the world. Just part of the letting go as they grow up ...
I am wary of anyone pushing the gratitude thing .. same as the forgiveness thing .. all in its proper context .. but maybe not right all of the time ...
Yeah @Owlunar an original writer ... the yarts ...lol ...
and yes we need to celebrate our abilities sometimes without being afraid of a tall poppy sniper passing by. Maybe the poppies are only 2 foot tall .. 10 foot .. whatever height .. we should all be able to stand tall without slumping or slouching .. cos then we get bad backs ... lol
hope to talk with you all soon.

hello @Appleblossom @Former-Member @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member
I am so sorry that I have missed this thread with all of this musical news which lights up my life, brings joy to my soul.
You are all so talented, music and dancing have always meant the world to me.
I love so many varieties, styles, instruments. singing what a gift to have.
Flute oh love, oboe love
i am going to imagine that I am attending a jamming session with you all. I can be the page turner if needed or just the one dancing away sobbing her eyes out. music helps release my emotions.
You have such gifts, share them with the world, be so proud, those who sprout negative thoughts are jealous, ignore them. Enjoy your treasures.

Join in @Former-Member .. I believe anyone can sing and dance ... and play .. tap hit or blow ... its just practise and its best if its happy practise ...My son's girlfriend and her family only ever bought tickets to shows ... expensive ones .. and she thought she would never be good enough to do it herself ... I believe weird obseessions with standards has stifled a lot of musical creativity ... and encouraged her ... well 2 years ago she appointed herself page turner for my boy .. at aged care homes etc ... and sometimes drives him to busk ...she has gone from strength to strength .. and sang at the market with me ... this weekend ...

Nah not teeching per se @Former-Member
Just being saturated in it ... sure you would if you wanted to .. you dont have to want to .. you got your own style of arty farty.
@Former-Member you have made my night .. saying you want to jam with us .. when I was young .. my boyfriend always had his mates over .. and they jammed very loudly with 3 chords .. but were not Patti Smith or Coltrane ... I was nice girl and encouraged them ... but always on the outer ... ridiculed when I wanted to understand jamming .. eventually I got away from him .. did my own thing .. and eventually my own music ... even if it was written a long time ago ..
@Former-Member Tonight .. I better run through some notes ... tomorrow the new pdoc and then bach choir practise after that ...
@Former-Member Dear are you in a norty mood? .. being contrary about the wonderful world of psychiatry ... I have been there often Bella .. totally over it ... but promised my son I would go again.

Hello @Appleblossom @Former-Member @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Owlunar
so glad that you left those people who did not include in the jamming sessions
that is what jamming is about, anyone passing by to join in when and if they want to
I used to go the irish club in the city years ago and they would have their fiddles, guitars, cymbals, drums, etc
I loved the bouncing off each other and the natural feeling
to be able to add voice to instruments is wonderful
so am thinking everytime I listen to music of any sort I will be jamming with you all.
new psychiatrists take quite a while to adjust to from both sides - the fact she is listening to your requirements heads up is a good sign. you keep leading the way, sounds promising
hope you are looking after yourself Tawney and not pulling heavy trailers too often.
Faith are you enjoying the tranquility yet?
will probably meet up with some of you on other thread cant remember which ones still in huge muddle, hopefully you will hear from me somewhere laugh xxxx
