Re: Being misstreated

Hey guys.

Yeah sorry I have been so consumed by hospital and unable to keep up with talking on forums.

I am looking at prioritory housing so I can take a loan out and get my website up and running, and my life needs cheaper rent. At the place I am at now it is $290 p/w and my parents are helping me but they can not do it forever. 🙂

Re: Being misstreated

Dear @Troubled_One

How are you? My name was justanother47yr but asked for my name to be changed because Im not 47 anymore.

Not worth the drama but there you go. My name is now PeppiPatty.

How is life?  Thats a lot of rent...I read on a post somewhere that finances are an issue for people on Disability Pension. I personally think that having a budget is a very good thing to do. Im on Disability pension and have no shame when I get food vouchers from my local Community Centre.

Theres a good budget on the Governent of your State called budget smart. Hopefully, you should be on the top of the Priority housing list because of your changing circumstances.

Ive thought about you and hoped very much that you are well

Please write if you have time :0)

Re: Being misstreated

Hey anne,

How are you? I been doing ok just living in my apartment, doing groups to keep me occupied and few little things. hope your doing ok.

My budget is very tight but trying to get through, the food vouchers sound like a good idea.

I am just waiting for Partners in Recovery to approve me then DOH will look at my situation.

Thanks for checking up on me.

Lee.

Re: Being misstreated

Dear Lee,

I think about you. This year, my medication was very silly and messed up.

It's important that you are given like....a sheet of paper by either Centrelink or hopefully PArtners in Recovery can give it to you.

This sheet of paper has information on where to go to get help for telstra, food vouchers, help with electricity or help with gas bill.

Where I live, Partners in Recovery give us $30 food vouchers for Woolworths or Coles; every 4 months.

But I live in Western Australia and things are different here for many things and I always wonder if it's better over east of Australia.

YOu keep this piece of paper on your fridge. YOu need it to manage your life well.

Having a budget is very important as you know,

Care about you from Anne xx

Re: Being misstreated

Hi @Troubled_One

Glad things have settled down a bit. Hope your website is doing ok.

Re: Being misstreated

Yeah I say I will recieve it when I get next in line.

I am just trying to get my budget sorted now I have to pay for electricity etc. They try scam you in any way possible, but yeah hope there is coupons waiting for me and I get pension discounts its just hard know everything you need to do sigh*

@Appleblossom  Hey appleblossom I was ok then the last few days my panic creeped up on me and now I feel like I am back trying to sort out whats good for me, driving my car has become hard again but I am hoping just taking it easy on things and not over doing it will help. Damn I hate this!

Re: Being misstreated

You have worked so hard Lee

Re: Being misstreated

yeah Anne. I feel like I havnt got much energy left at times.

I am really glad you caught up with me and hope we can continue doing so.

My panic attack the other day I got really shaky, before lunch, and then have paniced since then. I am not sure if it is like a medical condition but my doctor is going to do a blood test and see if it is something to do with that, but lets hope so I may have a reason for why I am always panicing.

My leg also is a big factor, and my health I cant exercise much or correctly because I am so cripple and in pain. My *eight is 106 and I am a little over weight, sleep as well is never good.

Re: Being misstreated

Dear Lee

Okay, you have had some big things to deal with : is it alright if we talk about your budget ?
Is it good to write what I do to budget ? The most important thing is never to be concerned about money. Everyone is broke ; its silly and unintelligent to make it something to spend much time to worry about.

Can I write what I do and maybe ....... You can take some ideas what I do.

1: if you can: just put away a little bit like $5 or $10 from each pay in your wardrobe.

Get your bills like electricity and gas and rent and keep the same amount in the bank every fortnight. I think, here in Western Australia, I put

Fortnight
$50 medication
$30 electricity,
$80 for telephone/internet,
$10 for gas
$60 petrol
$50 other bills like car registration, car servicing.

All other money I get money left over and average it out for 14 days.
What I have left I really need for those extra bills. Also, this is a very average simple bill...... I put $30 a fortnight away for support workers and bus fare.

Don't be too concerned about ..... Daily things. Like..... Things like sales or getting the most fashionable shoes..... Things like that are when your in your early 20s and your 34.
It's okay if you are tired. It's the end of the year and I have always noticed how hard you have worked.

I'm also very very tired. My stuff is different than yours.
You have never been far from my thoughts.
