Hey @frog - stumbled across your story and it really hit a nerve having my Mum pass away last year. I didn't have family support from the siblings who live in the same city not even when we were by my mother's side as she drew her last breath and certainly not since.
Wishing you strength as you go through this experience - an inevitable outcome but never easy just the same.

Thanks @Mazarita @soul @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Appleblossom @outlander and other friends for checking in. (Sorry for forgetting anyone - somewhat scrambled at the minute) I'm back home. My mother is now breathing on her own, but kidneys and heart are very bad. Not sure what's going to happen next; still in ICU. I felt bad leaving my poor brother to deal with everything but had to get back to kids and work.
It was good to see my sister, and she flew out today and will soon be having her surgery.
There was even more extended family bad news waiting for me when I got there but I am trying to put some psychological distance between all the trouble and myself for a while.
I'm really drained and haven't had good sleep. Took sleeper not long ago and starting to feel the effects. If I start talking gibberish, or stop talking all together you'll know why
How are you travelling? I feel like I've been away for ages, I guess because so much is happening.

Good to hear from you, @frog. It's great that you made the trip. I hope you can relax a bit at home now. Glad to hear it was good seeing your sister. May her surgery be fully effective and recovery fast. Sending kindest wishes to you and your family.
