Hey @Former-Member What happened Do you want to share?
Good you have figured out walking plan @TAB Settling in is good.
@EternalFlower Get onto that doctor about your certificate. They get paid a heap and should do their job.
Sorry about kerfuffle with your father ... tho he was trying to help ... my father never drove a car and never knew anything about them and died young... so yeah I had to do the girrrrl power and figure mechanical stuff out myself from me teens ...
Not sure though about all the family fragmentation these days ...
Agree with @tyme re structure of job providers. I worked in the field in another time ... 1970s and 1980s. It was not a perfect system but somehow this "market based" system seems more wasteful.
Take Care all ...

@Appleblossom , I can remember the old, government run system and thought it was great! What was it called, the CES? You would go in and there'd be all the jobs posted and you picked what you were interested in and then sat down with a lovely worker who'd help you get an interview. Ah the good old days, lol. I'm sounding soo old 🤣

Yep @hanami
I went to CES when I was 16 but burst into tears and they showed me how to do exam to apply for a govt job... got in ...worked with Social Security. Never regretted that. Did leave to further me education tho. Never regretted that.

I did that exam too @Appleblossom . Got a govt job as a clerical officer in Dept of Industrial Relations. Sooo easy to just get a job like that!

@hanami I did not have good clothes for interviews so it was good they really valued merit as opposed to fancy looks. It was an efficient system as they had large pool of potential workers and directed them as the need arose. I do not like the fragmentation of the current government system either.

My dad is not a Dr lol I do not like his predictions he is quite negative and has said things like that most of my life. He's quite healthy so I hope he was just talking nonsense.
