Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Shaz51, nice to be visiting from the 'other side' of the forums. Thanks for getting me into this thread. Hi to others here too. 🙂

@Shaz51, interesting how we can worry so much and long over something that then is later resolved in a matter of minutes. Hope you will be able to rest a little easier now. Heart

Edit: I just noticed that @Shaz51 made a callout to @PeppiPatty. PP, I think about you heaps. Sending lots of love. Heart

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Maryjune, I haven't read anything about your story yet but what you just posted. But I wanted to send you good wishes on your loved one coming out of hospital. How beautiful that you did a landscape painting for him. Kind wishes.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Mazarita
Hoping you are not having too many ups and downs with your significant other.

Hey @Shaz51
When I think of you, I think of determination and courage. There are so many things I would love to ask you ... how you tackle various situations such as home maintenance, we too have a weatherboard house. Neither Mr Darcy or I could be described as being handy.

Darcy

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Former-Member,

My companion is away interstate at the moment so I'm home alone. Although I enjoy his company a lot, it is good for us to have a little time apart. I am the one with diagnosed mental health issues (bipolar). But he is also rather out of the ordinary in the way his mind works, believing he inhabits two separate and conscious realities at the same time. But of the the two of us, he is more 'functional' in the real world, holding down a job and doing a lot more of the domestic tasks than I can manage (I'm slowly getting better at this). Thanks for asking a little about me. I hope you and Mr Darcy are going okay today. 🙂
