Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
@BryanaCampI've got routines i go through everyday (It's good to have the right/good/best options available every morning *plus have what it takes to follow through with them and get desired results).. -being packed up in bed by mid afternoon because I'm completely exhausted and overwhelmed is one activity in my routine... i usually come good after some quiet time...
(I usually get some positive-life giving activities done in the morning - or afternoon if i have to...) but yea... quite often I'm feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by mid afternoon... plus it's not just a case of rest/relax/have a snooze... it's a case of exhausted and overwhelmed + dealing with akathisia... akathisia is physical and mental restlessness, irritability...
Just managing this scenario on a daily basis without having a major episode/meltdown is an achievment... plus I'm trying to get away from reaching out for professionals help as often as i do... basically because I'm not real proud of it...

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Yesterday I went for a 10 km hike. Yay! Munched out on sugar afterwards but at least I did the hike.
Today I,
- got up, showered, dressed and make-upped
- did a job interview to the best of my abilities, fingers crossed!
- taking a well-deserved rest post-interview

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Hi gang, how are you going @Teej @eudemonism @Zaphod @Shaz51 @Lauz ?
I've had a big, stressful day today. There's a huge pile of dishes to do but I'm way to tired so that's a goal for tomorrow. Also wanting to do some exercise, maybe go for a hike tomorrow, something healthy to give my mind a break.
Hope everyone is well, have a good sleep tonight

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
I've had an ok day... I've found that my strong points are visiting people rather then being visited... plus I've found that i gotta get the balance right and not let people use me to much or otherwise i crack it + the same in return i gotta give people a break...
It's knowing what to do and who to visit at the right times basically...

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Hi @eudemonism and @BryanaCamp .
Go you! 10km hike sounds awesome. Its a healthy practice (for me that i'm learning anyway) to recognise when things are too much for the day (washing dishes or for me vacuming) and setting them again for the next day. I got the vacuming done eventually after a few days.
I need to develop and practice more skills around knowing who and when to socialise with otherwise i end up agreeing to do more with people that i'm unable to folliw through with. Ohwell, onwards and upwards.
Todays goals
1. Get Centrelink sorted (achieved)
2. Meditate (achieved - 15min)
3. Laundry load
4. No excercise today - still sore from work yesterday
5. Clean and tidy up a bit
6. Do homework therapist gave me to the best of my ability.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
hi @eudemonism , I never, ever get any visitors. I have to work really hard on my friendships and generally arrange to go out with friends & have lunch or a drink or something. I rarely go to people's houses. I totally understand about feeling used by people. I have to be really careful as I can easily get drawn in. You are right, it's important to give friends space and not ask too much of them but I have one friend in particular who really never, ever has time for me & I'm sick of it as I've given her so much time in the past.
hi @Zaphod well done on your goals, great work! Do you have a job? I'm still unemployed but trying hard to get some employment - it's exhausting looking & applying. I need a rest from it today.
Today's goal
- go for a hike in the bush, will see it I have the energy to do the long cirsuit or the short one.
Hope you have a lovely day today
