Re: 14th year house bound

OMG Karen, I thought I was just getting lazy, I wonder if it could be the medication we are on, mum thought it might be the medication, she said she has seen my health decline since being on it.

yes I get the aching joints too, moving is such an effort.

Karen I understand I am going through the same thing.  mum is going to buy a treadmill for me so I can exercise when I want, I find it too hard to leave the house after 6am.

Karen, try not to be so tough on yourself sometimes it is out of our hands, if the side effects are so much we can't blame oursleves.

I do hope I can get back to being fit again.

Re: 14th year house bound

I understand Jacques but it's so difficult keeping up with a 5 and 9 year old. I felt so much stronger physically when I was walking the 10 km. This is completely different it feels like I'm an arthritic 80 year old.

Every part of me hurts.

Re: 14th year house bound

Yes I could imagine how hard it is to keep up with 2 little bundles of energy, it is so humiliating for me, mum is 30 years older than me and can run rings around me, she has 10X more energy than I do now.

yes I ache all over too, sometimes I have to take paracetamol to get comfortable, even my muscles feel like they are fading away, I have no strength anymore either, it is so tough, I just hope I am able to finish the house before I am unable to.

Maybe when the girls get a little older you could all go walking on the track behind your house, like a family outing, it would be a beautiful scenery and time for you all to enjoy.

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi both,

I felt the urge to jump in because my muscles have been so tight lately. I just had a good stretch and i also find a hot shower helps for the short term.

Hiddenite - I know you have mentioned in the past that you have accessed the Forums from your phone - Jacques, do you have a smartphone that you can access the Forums on?

I just had an odd idea for all of us to go for a walk together. We could set a day and time, take it slow, and message each other as we go... maybe a lame idea... but I thought we could all be each others cheer leader... and also be a bit of a distration talking to each other and describing what we're seeing etc.

Re: 14th year house bound

Your not lazy j. You are so busy, with the house renovations and gardening, house keeping, cooking, cleaning.

You are doing just fine.

The treadmill sounds awesome, you don't have to worry about the weather or seeing people.

Re: 14th year house bound

I am starting to realise that I am not lazy but have another side effect from the medication.  plus I have no one to walk with, to give me motivation.

yes I am hoping when I get the treadmill it may help get back into walking again.

What are you up to tonight my angel? I suppose you Are busy packing for the little one.

@NikNik that is a great idea, but I can't walk of a day time, I tried a few times before and got harassed, so I don't go out of a day.  but the thought is excellent. maybe others would be interested?

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi Nik great idea except Jacques can't leave the house after a certain time. By the time I drop the girls off at school it's after 9. Other problem is I don't have mobile reception where I walk.

I love the idea maybe you and Jacques could still try.

Re: 14th year house bound

Jacques I'm lying in bed hoping to fall asleep soon.

I should be sleepy seeing I've had my night meds.

What are you up to other than talking to me?
