A Poem: On living with bi-polar affective disorder

Re: A Poem: On living with bi-polar affective disorder

@AlienBP - I actually prefer the old term manic Depression it 'names' it is a descriptor. Bi Polar, well hell isn;t everything in this world since Descartes?

Re: A Poem: On living with bi-polar affective disorder

Really into lyrics at the mo. reading 'Touched From A Distance - the truly ORIGINAl of Ian Curtis (Joy Division) & the entire lyrics of Lou Reed

Maybe I wanted to be a Rock Star!!

Re: A Poem: On living with bi-polar affective disorder

Someone mentioned that Sz has been re-titled 'Integration disorder' - not sure bout that sounds like malfunctioning electronic synapses in a robat! SZ is such an ugly word it should be banned. I like 'Thinking differently 'Chaotic Imagination' or the tried and tested 'mad as a box of frogs' - Sanity is not all it's cracked up to be!
It is certain that ALL psychiatrists are insane, no?

Re: A Poem: On living with bi-polar affective disorder - Maybe Poetry can Be Magic?

I wish, I wish, I wish.

I wish you peace, I really do.
I wish love to rain down on you.
I wish you were warm in any storm,
For friendships that never fade.
I wish you age in grace, in all your years.
For all your tears are for laughter in happy days.
I wish your times are bright and breezy,
For luck comes with you easy.
I wish you go to some places you never know,
I wish you hear music in all you see.
I wish you are all that you want to be.
I wish you freedom in all your thoughts.
Those sweet visions come through the doors.
I wish you shine in all your times,
For curiosity comes each morning you awake.
And for beauty in all you make.
All I wish is peace for you, I really do.
I wish your troubles are light as pollen from the bees.
I wish, I wish all of these.
I wish you dance in the life you lead,
That love finds you, if you bleed.
I wish, I wish, I wish all of these, I really do.

Stan.

Re: A Poem: On living with bi-polar affective disorder

Ok here goes

This is "part "of the words for the song
"When the Blue Rock Lobster Gets The Blues"

When the blue rock lobster gets the blues
She picks up her guitar and gives you the Rockne roll news.
If she starts blowin lots of bubbles
You know your in lots of trouble !
So if it's " trouble" you want she's the one to see
That's why I like her to dance with me....

There's lots more of course.... But dont want to "give it away"
As hope to do something " with it" Its done in the " style "of the B52s ( punk party rock)
There's another song about my mates dive boat called
"Bubbles fish and no Shark"
( let's get back before the dark")

I also write one about my Ex corporate Physchopathe ....rather long very " cathartic"
It's one many people would " relate to " in the work force....
I've written all these down but can't remember how it starts " it's very sarcastic and dark"!
