A long rave

Re: A long rave

@eth, went and stacked the dishwasher and got that going between posts. C has arrived home too. Wanted to make myself a tuna sandwich as I'm hungry, not eaten lunch yet. But the bread had gone mouldy, dammit. It's that humid time of year now, bread doesn't stay efible for very long!

Wow to 120 emails!!! That sounds like quite a bit of admin! Funny how our technology makes our lives much busier in a way than it used to be before PCs and mobiles.

Glad you are enjoying some quiet time at home, just you and the dog. Good to catch up with you in (slow) real time too.

Just ate a banana for lunch and about to tuck in to a tub of yoghurt. Should stave off the hunger enough until dinnr, lol.

YAY   @Exoplanet - FENCE JUBILATION is a thing!

Re: A long rave

Yes @Mazarita it's really good to be getting some quiet time.  Not used to being around other people constantly which I have this week.  Shared a motel room with M for 3 nights and visitors the next 2.  I'll be having an early tv dinner from the freezer.  Don't have to go out again til Tuesday when I'll be going with a support worker to my first water tai chi class - quite looking forward to that, the pool is meant to be warmer than the so-called heated pool I went to a few other times a while ago.

Re: A long rave

Hi @Appleblossom, nice to be sharing this storm moment with you too. We were going to head out after the storm to visit our friend. But she's rung to say she's in blackout, 1000 homes without power where she is. May go later this evening, or I might bus it to her place after my GP appointment tomorrow. How is life treating you at the moment?

@eth, glad to hear you have some quiet time tomorrow too. I know how important some recovery time can be for both of us after big social experiences, even with family.

Oh dear, it is getting so painfully slow trying to post on this mobile. I will try to persevere but if I drop out at some point, that will be why!

Re: A long rave

Hi @Appleblossom @Adge @CheerBear

.......... and bye for now @Mazarita.  Time for me to get off the computer for a while.  It's nice to be back on the forum again - I missed it while I was away.  Haven't worked out how to do it on my phone yet for when I'm travelling.  Any tips would be great.

Have a nice night all.  See you tomorrow probably.

Re: A long rave

@Mazarita  I used to love storms ... but it is tricky when they get destructive ...

Take Care up NOrth ...

My son and are well.  It is a well deserved rest day after production week.of his opera. It was fun and not as stressful as the show where he did a quick rescue in a lead role.

It was lovely and entertaining.  I knew a few of the caste ... They are a bunch of great people for my son to hang out with ..They are taking it to the country in a month.

Heart

After the difficulties of early in the year ... it is so good to have a few ticks ... in the bank.

The other business is still not sorted ... endless adjournments ...

We can only do what we can do.

Re: A long rave

Bye for now, @eth. You are going just as I've got the use of my desktop again. Storm is still around but not on top of us any more. I much prefer my fingers on a full sized keyboard! Enjoy the evening and catch up again soon. Heart

@Appleblossom, sounds great with your son in the opera, and some good people to hang out with. A good break for him to go out to the country with it soon too. Wonderful that you are feeling the 'ticks' accumulating. I relate to that. For me it's a lot to do with how I am going with basic life things, like staying out of bed during the day, showering, regular washing of clothes and dishes, cleaning, keeping appointments and getting out of the flat. I feel so much better when I'm achieving those things, partly from a much improved sense of accomplishment. Funny how things that most people take for granted feel like the highest achievements for me these days. Smiley Tongue

There was another good thing that happened today too, which has lifted my 'artistic career' spirit in the wake of recent feelings of failure. I received a message from a video artist, academic and curator in the USA, asking to show one of my videos as part of an exhibition in Amsterdam in December. Chuffed! Woman Happy

Well, I think that's it from me for this long session of forum chat. Haven't responded to earlier posts from others yet, but will before long! One thing before I go though. @Exoplanet, 'fence jubilation' gave me a big laugh. What a fantastic way you have with words, not to mention a great sense of humour! I agree with Apple - fence jubilation is definitely a thing! More from me to you soon. Heart Smiley Very Happy

@everyone, kind wishes to all for an okay or better evening. Heart

Re: A long rave

hello @Exoplanet

I can sense your exhilaration...why not ..

you have been to ***** and back to get this done...

a huge release of emotions.....

yeah....I get this...I have been here in a different degree in my life and felt that independent sense of achievement that other s might see as a job done...

you have worked so hard for this...battled obstacles and achieved this end goal...

go for it girl...

you deserve every single bit of "yes I did this"

seriously I am so happy for you....you have achieved a part of me that I did not at your age and yes tears running down face.. thank you for sharing and achieving this for yourself,,,myself...and possibly others to come...

I love it...

Re: A long rave

We had hail this afternoon - not too much but lots of rain. It cleared away and it was nice to go out walking afterwards with the streets and paths washed clean.

@Mazarita - amazing news about your video making career is really taking off.

@eth - happy for you that you enjoyed time with your family

Hi @Sophia1 and @Shaz51 hope you’re well
