@BryanaCamp Hi BryanaCamp yes I have had two hospital admissions (and god did I hate them ....). I am sure the British system is better (couldn't be worse from my experience). Has he got a pdoc on the outside? That is the key to success for me was finally finding a pdoc who knew my diagnosis and medicated me correctly and staying on these awful, awful medications.Home care team didn't exist for me. I had one person visit once a week for while and then that finished up with me still sick.
Sorry to sound so dark .... as I said earlier I am sure they do it much better in Britain than here. Try not to worry although it is hard being so far away. I have a son1 in Germany so I understand where you are coming from. Would he come out here for awhile? is that a feasible option? greenpea

Hi everyone.
I hope you had a good day @Bunniekins @Zoe7 @eth
I'm running a fever, so I shall have to try to get a locum Dr to visit tonight.
The nurse (several days ago) said to take my own temperature, when feeling feverish.
She said if it's 38C or above, that's not good - it's 38.5C
Still having surgery wound issues, I hope I don't have an infection.

@Adge Hi Adge did you get your locum in? This infection has been linguring for awhile now which cannot be good. I do hope you are given strong antibiotics to get rid of it. My poor finch, you are so strong coping with all of this by yourself. You are one tough bird. Love always pea xxxxx

Thanks @Bunniekins It looks like it will be a nice day - only around 20 degrees but the wind has eased so that is a good sign. Going to have a sleep soon as I was up super early again. Hope you have an awesome day little pea

Good morning @Bunniekins @Zoe7 @Adge @BryanaCamp @CheerBear @Appleblossom @Exoplanet @Shaz51 and anyone else around here today.
My cold seems to have levelled out - not better, not worse. Still a bit congested and chesty (the latter which I dread after the last cold I had turned into a bad lung infection). Have to go out today to my psychologist and a few groceries so I'm trying an antihistamine the chemist suggested on top of a large dose of echinacea, and all my usual meds. Yesterday I found that every time I talked more than a few sentences I got a tickle in my throat that turned into a coughing bout. Embarassing and possibly a risk of infecting others. Luckily it was only me, my sw and the teacher. It was a great water tai chi session as without beginners we were able to practice the whole 4 sets of movements instead of just the first set.
Are you still doing tai chi with youtube @Bunniekins ? How was your walk this morning?
Hope you have a relaxed and productive day @Zoe7
Fabulous to hear about your adventure @Exoplanet
Sorry to hear of your concerns about your brother @BryanaCamp I've been in hospital for MH several times but not since 2009. Can't really add a positive story about post-discharge follow-up support sorry. As GP says, hopefully the system works better in England. Or you can encourage him to come home for some support.
@Adge hoping you got to see a Dr since yesterday and that your infection is now under control. I've been very concerned about you too. Another option is to go to A&E at the hospital that did the op.
I have to go out shortly so hope today goes smoothly and has good bits in it everyone.

Hi @Bunniekins Well the nurses didn't think there was any infection before.
The locum Dr came promptly, which was a change - instead of waiting 3 hours or more, during the night.
He said yes infection, & wanted me to go straight out to buy the anibiotics (last night), which I did.
Hopefully I will heal better now.
I didn't sleep well last night, so feel a zombie.
