Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

This is a somewhat rushed post, so please forgive me if I've forgotten to tag anyone.

@Owlunar @BlueBay @eth @NatureLover @Bunniekins @outlander @Peri @Snowie @Maggie @CheerBear @Molliex @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Lee82 @Pollyotter @Former-Member @Determined @Former-Member @TAB @Former-Member @Eve7 @frog @Adge @Appleblossom @Sans911 @Zoe7

The thing is ... I just can't be here anymore, as this is no longer a safe place for me to be. So this is a very reluctant and sad good bye from me.

But I couldn't go without saying a heartfelt thank you to you all. There are many members (some new, some long term) who have supported me over the past (nearly) 4 years, and you all mean a lot to me. Many of you I consider to be my only real friends.  Which is why this farewell is doubly hard.  I wish all of you the very best in your ongoing battles with MH and in your journey to recovery.  I'm sorry I won't be around to share that journey with you.

Thanks also to the managers and moderators for your ongoing support and patience, especially during what has been an incredibly difficult few months leading up to now.  @Former-Member @Former-Member @s-jay @Former-Member

I remain eternally grateful for the Sane Forums, and all who make them the wonderful organisation that they have been, and continue to be. I will miss each of you so very much. Please take care, and I hope that some of you may remember me with a degree of fondness.  I wish I could stay, but it simply isn't possible. Out of sight .. out of mind ... you will soon forget me.  But I will never forget you.

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Hi @Former-Member

I'm so sorry you are feeling scared here on the Forums. Smiley Sad It sounds like leaving the Forums will be a heartbreaking loss for you. I am sure just as you have found true friends here in others, they would have found that friendship in you too. For this reason, I do not believe you can be forgotten.

Given everything you are going through, do you think it may be work reaching out to additional support at this time? Our SANE Help Centre is open until 10pm EST but you could also call/chat with services like 1800 Respect, Lifeline or Beyond Blue?

Please look after yourself! Heart

Kindest,

Amour_Et_Psyché

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

My dear friend @Former-Member ,

 you need to do what is right for you. There are many of us here who will miss you and remember you for a long time.

No matter what has been going on for you, you have always provided me with support, happy thoughts, positive ideas and kindness.  I rate kindness as the most valuable of traits , that and a sense of humour. I have no doubt that you have a sense of humour. I do so hope that you can go on to be yourself once more and know that there is a bunch of people here, who love you.
