Taking the plunge

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie. I'm thinking of you this morning wondering how you're going.

I went for a walk around a lovely garden yesterday and came across this one. I was going to plant it in the community garden but think I'll send it here instead.

I dont know what it is but I like it lots. It''s quite delicate looking, paper thin but stands tall. Very pretty 😊

Oodles of 💗 to you

Re: Taking the plunge

Dear @Maggie

Like everyone else here @CheerBear @outlander @Zoe7 @Appleblossom @Bunniekins, I am just checking in and saying hello and sending my love and care your way.

I know things are really tough for you right now, but please be confident that you can turn that around quickly. So jplease hang in there for however long it takes.

I loved that blackbird song youtube you left on my thread too Maggie ... I do love birdsong.  Do you really have blackbirds sing outside your bedroom window?  If so, then I am very envious.  I get the squawking harsh sound of black cockatoos in the early morning sometimes.  That is not what I'd call nice though.  But I get occasional magpies, which I do love.  Plus I can hear my budgies chirping most mornings.  Their large outdoor aviary is not far from my bedroom.  And now that winter is over I will have my window open and will hear them even better from now on.

I have just attempted to post a magpie youtube here for you.  Not sure if it will work.  Lets see ....

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear It was lovely to come here and see your message and beautiful flower. I don't know what it is either, but it's beautiful. Thankyou for propping in here. I was reading on a long rave yesterday, you sound okish atm, hope I picked that up right. Good to hear, as you've been through your share recently. And middle is about to have the cast removed, Humm, you will be pleased to see a clean arm I think. I'm waiting for a decision, maybe tomorrow, I may have to go back to hospital.. I'm hoping not though, but best to keep it civil.. You take care @CheerBear. Lots of these 💕💕💕🌷🌷🌷

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I loved the magpie song clip, one of my favourite sounds, and yes, I do have blackbirds singing first thing each morning, right outside my bedroom. I saw a small fantail yesterday in one of the front gardens, and the plover is still sitting on her eggs in the car park ( of all places). I have just returned from a walk to the chemist, and watched a small parrot calling to a mate. Nature can be beautiful. I know someone who is caring for an injured magpie atm. I saw him close up. He's almost ready to be released back to his family.

Hanging in @Former-Member. I will know something tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed.

Im heading out to the gardens to collects some flowers to press, I will be able to make cards for birthdays, plenty of people to give them to here. How good I'd that !!!!!

How are you doing. I will head to your thread to see if there is any info. Lots of these for you. 💜💕💜💕🐾🐾🐾🐾

Thankyou @Appleblossom. Good to see you around. Hope you are doing okish?????💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge

Yep Thanks @Maggie.

I am good. We got through a very demanding week and I am proud of my son as he helped out a performance by stepping into the breach doing a lead role in 7 days.  It took courage and was a great fun show.  So it was worth it for him to get the experience.  Today I am relaxing and expecting him to show up with his gf any minute ...

Are you settling into your new place more ...

Re: Taking the plunge

@Appleblossom Yes and no regarding settling in. I think once I get myself a bit more together, things will be a little easier. Being this close to people isn't really my cup of tea, though I have lived in community settings most of my life. I guess people aren't really my favourite species, though that depends on the person/ people.

Your son did show great courage this week. Definately a difficult " role". Your pride in him is lovely. I know there are struggles, but you are both working through them. Good on you both. Have a nice evening with son and gf.

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh @MaggieI like that ... peep not favourite species ...ha ha Smiley Happy

Keeping the right distance may be an artform ... I will think about it more ... levels of closeness.
