Things that motivate me:
1. This forum and another mental health forum I'm currently active at (community wise) + talking to peer workers (and counsellors too but it depends) here & from other mental health services
2. listening to my favourite music. I've found that listening to music especially whist I'm doing a certain task is what really motivates me to actually do it than when i don't listen to my favourite songs.
3. going out for a walk
4. researching more about the things that I'm interested in learning and gaining more knowledge about

Hi @Shaz51 what motivates me, that is a tough one. i thought being homeless would motivate me to get a job, but i was to terrified, i thought losing dad and mum getting older would get me to find some sort of a future, but to no avail.
i keep going for mum and my partner but im not sure i am exacly motivated, i just try to minimise my anxiety and support people close to me. i know a job is out of the question and moving to my partner when mum passes. so i need to make the most of what i have and try to make it last my lifetime.

I wish I could say something genuine or inspiring but I feel really awful today and not motivated at all.
Yet I’m sitting here in the sunshine under a tree which is good, right?
And I guess I’m here because it’s the right thing to do? Like, all the wisdom is, no matter how crap you feel, do something?
In my head I know that the gof doing things even when you feel blank or bad is that the badness leaches away over time (at least somewhat) out of the memory, so that then you have memories of sun on leaves instead of the sameness of the inside of your own four walls.
