ive had more than one 'private' appt w specialist in last few years  had to pay $2-300 up front each time. Gp would warn me at before making referral at least, otherwise wouldn't have seen anyone yet guess lol

Yeah $20 gap isnt much but I was wondering about my bulk billing shrink. I only see her for medicine management. Have not had an appointment since January or February. Did not want to abuse the system. I don't really need to see her but its now August, 7 months later. I may be without a shrink. I know Headspace provide affordable psychiatrists. May have to check into that @TAB

Well see how you go @Former-Member back when drs recommended psychs was price list from $0 extra to hundreds dep on their experience like lawyers Current dr bulk bills plus can get free psych thru DVA if got organised Gotta run trying to beat lunchtime at shops although have noticed way more staff on at lunch plus after work if can out up w people at least get served

It sounds like you have stuff to do today so that's good. Glad to hear you had a good sleep.

Today I went to see chiro.
My back got cracked back in shape so that's good.
Got a small coffee after it. There was a puppy.

Came home. Did some self development work and realised how far I had come in 2 years. This time 2 years ago I took a month off work. It was too toxic an environment.

Well here I am now 2 years later and I see how far I have come in my career journey but also my personal journey.

2 days ago I was looking at travel plans. I like the idea of going to Africa to travel. I like the idea of seeing our birth place as a species as this is where we all originated from long ago.

If thus new job doesn't cut it then I'll be happy to do something totally different

I have really fallen in love with life. Its the total opposite to where I was before.

I have spent the last hour or so outside. The sun is out. I'm getting some rays. I did a bit of reading too.

I think too I shattered many ideals I had about myself. This has freed up my mind. I can focus again.

I have so many plans for the future. But I have 1 life. I just need to set each plan out and figure if it is doable.

Transitory phases like this are unique.

@MDT So good to read this: "I have really fallen in love with life."

I wanted to travel to Africa, but never made it in my 1980 trip, though I had bought a book and gotten the vaccinations.  Nowadays I say the world is coming to me and I no longer have to travel (to console myself that I am probably not fit enough for travel the way I used to do it, single footloose and fancy free.)

Nurture that feeling of alignment and at oneness with the world.  It may ebb, but once known, can shelter you through tough times.

@StuF @Former-Member @TAB  what is this about medicare and Gps?  I was hoping that they they would start obligating more Gps to bulk bill.  

Feeling Not Happy Jan about it.  Too many articles saying to feel sorry for the poor poor health services and doctors.

@Appleblossom  GP at place went to before I moved added $20 co-payment onto short consult .

new one in city is only one left who still bulk bills and is taking new patients. Read some of the other drs bulk bill but only for weekday appts and not taking new customers.

They do not need to add the gap fee. It is predatory.

I respect good physicians and have a doctor's wife's etchings all over my walls.
