I'm certainly glad to be home, with the working week over & done with (for now).

I was unexpectedly asked to care for 2 high needs clients (just me) - doing swimming (one in a wheelchair), which is difficult to manage even with just 1 client.

When each of them is supposed to have their own carer.

Anything could have gone massively wrong, because I cannot split myself in two, & be in two places at once. Very stressful, especially given no notice.

So I'm gona eat something yummy now to de-stress...

Each of these clients is funded as a 1-on-1 (for one staff person each).

For very good reasons - the unexpected addition (client) is known to go AWOL regularly.

I cannot chase someone, when I'm pushing someone else in a wheelchair...

No, not at all safe, either for them or for me.

Staffing cancellations may be the reason.

Definitely not worth the money (wages).

I have been off air for a bit - all is good with me - just enjoying staying warm on a cold Friday night with a glass of red. Happy to get to the end of the week and relax in front of the telly. Hope everyone has a good long weekend

Hi @Former-Member Thanks for asking.

At least I didn't vomit (get sick) in my psych appointment this morning (like last week), so that's a bonus.

I went to MH lunch Grp straight after (on every 2 weeks), where I had nice pumpkin soup & some good conversations.
