Hi @Former-Member .... had a busy morning out with the kids ... S2 got a piano award so we went out to lunch first, after church ...
Been vegging this afternoon but about to take the kids out visiting friends, I am friends with the mum, so we will throw together some pizzas or something for dinner.
Sorry you haven't had a great day ... I hope you get some good rest tonight,
Raining here all afternoon. Helped with the resting up ... I love the rain.

Most interested in the word Gezellig which apparently means toetherness, cosiness and fun in Dutch and
similar to the Deutsch word Gemutlichkeit. Have a love of Germanic languages,Appleblossom and I like your sentiments of what your Nanna said feeling comforted. Had a good day and pleasant autumn weather helps a good deal. Trust your weekend went well and blessings to you and your family on the great work you achieve on this unique forum. Cheers, hugs Bimby2

lol @TAB Yes @Bimby2 the word GEZELLIG just kept jumping into my mind and I was researching Dutch culture ...
I thought German was guttural but they get all the throaty stuff going .. in Balkans etc and even Scandinavia ..
in singing it seems we are supposed to pronounce all the consonants quite lightly .. forward in the palate .. so not as guttural as dutch..
I am doing Brahms A German Requiem and Bach St John Passion .. a glutton for punishment... and son is singing Lied at the moment ... probably should have studied it.
@Faith-and-Hope I used to take my kids out for lunch after exams .. but son figured it wasnt a big enough reward .. lol .. so not many exams. baby dragon territory maybe ..I am definitley a phonenix .. no other way .. get burned very often ... lol ... lots of ashes around ..good for the soil .. potash
