Re: Wednesday Coffee and Chat -- 13th May 2026

Okay, I'm gonna jump right in here - love this idea. As human's being, we rarely get a chance to these days and instead, most of us are forced to run round chasing out tails all the time. Sometimes, I believe higher powers (the Universe, Creation, God - call him/her what you will - I call him Nigel, he doesn't seem to mind).
We sometimes get so caught up in the daily grind and the corporate world's latest buzzword - "hustle culture" - ick! - we end up not being able to see the wood for the trees, yeah? So, I reckon when things reach a certain point, we get nudged into taking a rest to reflect a bit. Whether this is actually true or I have been smoking something I shouldn't, is not really important: It is a good way to look at things.

We live in a world of extremes, especially at the moment. That creates stress. Deadlines, competition, forced workplace nonsense we have to put up with, etc. Over time, it warps us a little into resignation or exhaustion or both. Sometimes, being forced to take a break away, even if it is hard on you financially or in other ways, can have a very positive side to it and you come out the other end with deeper understanding of people, of events, of life in general (or if you are a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan like me, "Life, the universe and everything"). I reckon this is a ripper conversation starter meself, hit me up if you would like to have a yarn.😋
