Oh you are so lucky rain, i sooooo wish it would rain here, it is so hot. OMG a cyclone that is not good, i hope you are going to be safe? Oh that is a shame about your husband, most people would be happy for a break, stress of life is not pleasent, i know the burden of money troubles and worrying about the future

Hi @Shaz51, it must be so hard to see your husband so stressed, it is so hard trying to juggle every da ystuff to reduce costs, with everything going up so often, i do hope you can manage, can he change jobs, or reduce his hours?
Life is so complicated and hard these days, we just need to put one foot in front of the other, and work it all out as we go.
she is feeling much better, she thinks it was a bad reaction to some new meds the doctor put her on, since she stopped taking them the pain has stopped, the test will be tomorrow, so i have my fingers crossed.
Oh i think you are sending some rain, we are ment to get rain tomorrow, i am so excited about the cool change we are ment to get.
are you in QLD? if so you poor buggers have copped it bad the last few years with cyclones, my thoughts and well wishes are with you, i hope it misses.

Wow @Shaz51, that is very hard manual labour, you should be proud of yourself being small business owners, would you be able to reduce to house cleaning and gardening or just mowing? i know it is so hard with the cost of everything, but you and your husband's health is so much more important.
It is looking more and more like a kidney stone, but none of them are sure. mum's doctor kept appologising for sending her home when she was not well, we went to the doc at 2pm and then i had to take her to the hospital by 4:30pm, i think the doctor may be over worked as he is very popular in my town.
it could be medication, it could be so many things, she is still not 100%, she still having stomach problems, so we will ahve to wait and see.
Oh my @Shaz51, you have had some shocker cyclones, the one that went through in i think 2009 was massive, i watched it on the news. i hope it is not as bad as that!!!!
Well wishing you all the best, when is it ment to be comming through? i hope you get a nice christmas before it arrives, it would be such a downer if it was Christmas day 😞
Take care
Jacques

Hi Jacques that`s where the problem is , because we have regular customers who we do housework, mowing lawns and gardening for , we don`t know which ones to cancel becuse my husband hates to disappoint anyone .
The doctors and the mental health worker has told us to do some changes or my husband will end up back in hospital , My husband is on medication which has made a bit of a difference .
We have not taken on any new customers and the mental health worker wants my husband to learn how to say No , but I know we have to make some more changes But where ??

Hi @Shaz51, if your husband does not like dissapointing anyone could you put on some staff? one of mum's friends has a mowing business and has 4 employees, i know money is tight, but maybe you could put on a trainee or something? even put someone on for 1-2 days per week?
it is so hard, i am on medication too, it makes a little difference, but i stress easy.
That is good, you don't need more work, it is definately tough, uuuummmm is it possible to refer some of your customers to another garden care service? or maybe buy some better equipment like a ride-on to make the work easier? i am not good at giving advice, sorry if i have over stepped the mark, they are only thoughts.
i know how tight it is running a small business, my cousin ran a doughnut shop and he really struggled with paying staff and most of the time ended up doing all the work himself.

Hi @Shaz51
@Jacques has some great ideas doesnt he? He is also very sensitive.
I am not sure of the best thing to do about your business either. Because you know the pressures and issues, I guess you and your husband are the really the ones with ultimate decision making ... can you strech out the time between visits? How desperately do you need extra income? Take care of yourself and your husband.
Just wondering how you are going @Former-Member ?
