Re: Life

Having your own business is really hard, I don't have any suggestions but hoping that you can find a balance somehow @Shaz51

I'm struggling a bit today, did too much over the weekend and today and feeling really low. Two steps forward then three back gah

Re: Life

Building up endurance is hard when we are at it all the time.  Would you like to talk about today @Former-Member.

I missed an appointment ...stressed about it but sorted it out. Just a bit of food shopping and on computer.

Watching "The Genius Within" about Glenn Gould with my son .. in bits as he requests .. in between playing himself.

Re: Life

I have been offered a unit to move into after we leave the shelter next year (it's a government house for teachers) but it's really small and no yard, I'm just worried how it will be for the kids. But on the other hand it maybe safer having close neighbours and a shared driveway. But also worried abou noise as my lil boy sometimes makes repetitive loud noises for a while if he's upset and wakes up screaming at night sometimes. The rent is within my budget but a lot for a unit I think. But not sure at least with a gov house no inspections and what not but I won't be able to have it if I don't go back to work either. I'm also just feeling like making a decision is too overwhelming but looking for my own place seems too hard too. And it's my psychiatrist teview tomorrow and I'm feeling sick about that, I'm just feeling like everything is too hard. I need to organise some care for my kids because I'm just feeling overwhelmed with no breaks but also feeling guilty about feeling like that and I just want Christmas to be over already. I'm just so exhausted.

I'm glad u sorted out your appt. i hate missing things too. I braved the shops today for milk And butter was very busy. Also picked up kids Santa photo and it was the best Santa photo ever, my lil boy is smiling and not trying to get away from Santa for first time. So that is nice.

Re: Life

hi dear @Former-Member, sounds like you have a lot to think about, how about postponing a decision until after christmas, their is no rush as you would not start work till the last week in January, give yourself time.

you should not feel guilty about wanting time for yourself, you are a single mum doing everything, everyone needs a break, even you 🙂

you need to slow things down, try to break all your tasks into one a day, if you do too much you will affect your MH worse, allow your mind and body to work at their own pace.

the photo sounds sweet, something to cherrish, Christmas will be over soon and things will slow down.

sending you well wishes

Re: Life

Lol Appleblossom about the Cointreau - I like frying strawberries in that for a few minutes (and flaming the alcohol) and having them in crepes for dessert With Icecream not that I have for a long time!! I missed that post somehow and @PeppiPatty s too doh, hello xx

Re: Life

Before Children (BC)  I used to the brandy on chicken and all sorts of things ... that is a long time ago now ... kids dont need alcohol and my ex used to drink it if I had any in the pantry ... so stopped that ... now my son is a bit up-tight about alcohol ... so I am thinking of making a chocolate mousse that calls for tia maria ... a plain rich choc and raspberry.

Like music and writing ... cooking is for the consumer.

I wonder if the cointreau will last to the next trifle making???  Woman Embarassed

I am not really naughty often any more.Woman Tongue
