I’ve been coaching continuously for the past 20 years @rav3n . I love it but I’ve struggled the past 4 years with my mh and unsure how long I can keep it up.

Today I saw the GP for results of an MRI I had last week of my knee and the news wasn’t good.

I have osteonecrosis which means the bone is dead 😩 I’ll know more when I see the surgeon but until then I’m on crutches. 

There isn’t much more to say for now and I won’t tag anyone so probably no one will see this due to the new format. Just a tad miserable 😭

Oh no @Eve7  thats not good at all. You’re seeing a surgeon, so I’m assuming some kind of surgery can be done??  I know you do all sorts of things to be active, so I can understand this is a real blow.

Oh @Eve7 😳 that doesn't sound good.  My understanding of osteonecrosis is that it is caused by a lack of blood supply to the bone? Is this possibly as a result of a few of your recent injuries?

Regardless, I really hope the specialists can prevent further deterioration and that surgeons can repair the damage already done 💗

Thanks @Emelia8. That's about right with the lack of blood flow to the bones and kneecap. Just when I thought nothing else could go wrong with my body.

Came home this morning. So happy to be back at home.

I hope your day is going ok hon. Sounds like it has been a big struggle with having to be on the crutches and everything happening with your knee. Do they know how long you have to wait for the surgery?
