That makes me so, so sad, @Phoenix_Rising. I’m so sorry.

It is the natural order @Former-Member. Some of us are just too wonky and it makes sense to sacrifice the too-wonky in order to use limited resources to help the less-wonky. Civilisations have been doing it forever and will continue to do it forever. It just sucks to be one of the too-wonky.

Yes, it really does suck to be one of the too-wonky, @Phoenix_Rising. And it's sad when all we want is a little help to be less wonky.

@Former-Member the other day I heard someone pose an interesting question: Do we need some clients to get better before we can help them? Methinks the answer is "yes." People like you and me are too wonky for any services, bookish. I so very VERY badly wish I could clone TTT and send a copy of her to you. I really can't see how trying to unmuddle my muddle at a rate of 50 minutes / week is going to work, but I am still eternally grateful that TTT is in my world.

I super miss CherryBomb. I can hear her in my brain telling me to never stop being me. I so badly wish that she was here right now.
I think the chances of me not becoming mute are pretty slim. I have so few opportunities to talk talk to people and I super notice how it is becoming harder over time. I super struggled at my volunteering gig last week.
@Former-Member do you go long periods of time without talk talking?

@Former-Member I'm not bad am I - just wonky. The helping person said they understand that I am a turtle trying to live in a world of people who don't speak turtle. They said they knew I was trying my best. I don't mean to be...well...me. You are still here in Forum Land. And so is @Former-Member and @NikNik and @Jupiter and @SleepyPanda and @Former-Member and everybody. We just can't do talking talking.

I find talk talking so, so hard, @Phoenix_Rising. During uni semester, I have to force myself when it is necessary, but avoid it as much as possible (and often just can’t talk at all). I’m super glad this is my last semester (18 years later)—if I can hang in there. During the uni break I go weeks without talking to another person. I say a few words to Edie-Cat, but that is it. I had similar thoughts about becoming mute myself recently. I wish I could do some volunteer work so I could potentially have some purpose and value, but there is no way I can.
