Taking steps beside you or sitting in the car as you drive, or we could swap and you be passenger ... and just take in some views.... whatever you need.
It is a really complicated situation that the psych put you in. We all do best when we strive for some dreams. Being out and about and in the study or workforce has so many extra intangible benefits. Yet being driven too much can have its down side.
12 hour shifts are a bit long. Hang in there my friend. My grandfather did them in the old psych wards, but that was unusual employment. When I worked in arbitration such shifts were compensated with extra loadings.
Acceptance of ourselves, is different to just accepting a limited fate. Thinking self harm is another layer of not accepting our deepest reality. I have gradually come to some acceptance of myself and my life, but I fought back at being too relaxed about some of the injustices, it took a while for me to be more at peace.
We are at different stages. You are young, and I wish the biggest best life possible.
