Re: Trying makes it worse

@TAB A literary biopic could be chillaxing ...lol changed show as it was too much for me.  I never choose horror or hypey fiction unless my son chooses it and he is sensitive in choosing things for us both to watch.  Just too much real life trauma.

@EternalFlower Yes re KYD.  You read the book! I am impressed. I first heard of it when I was volunteering at the Wheelers Centre, though heard of 'Howl' a lot earlier.

Not sure where you li8ve but Gallery Victoria has Albert Durer etchings. He was the guy who did "Melanchoiia".

@maddison Re share housing. After a while I began to take the position of the lease holder, so I had a little more control over my circumstances.

Something on my mind?  Yes and no.  My mind is usually full to bursting, but sometimes that is also known as expertise ... lol ... so now I am thinking "should I get paid for it?" a bit more, and definitely not submitting to nonsense.

Got 2 emails in inbox re outstanding power domination issues, so I guess it is all in process.

Going dancing tonight with a lady I met 15 years ago ... to put on a show in a month. Keeping it productive and optimistic and functional.  Sometimes I get sick of the "positive" word ...lol.

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hey @Appleblossom

About 30 mins ago I was standing in my kitchen.

I feel much better today than previous days, thanks to a great night's sleep... Finally.

I feel more 'me.'

I'm not happy me (yes the positive word can feel contrived - I get that) tho.

Melancholy.

I'm not sure I fully understand the meaning of the word - it was the best I could come up with, with where I'm at today.

I've never heard of the etching Durer. 1514??? Incredible.

I wonder if that's a compass in her hand? I bought one 3 days ago. It looks like her legs were once shackled & now have been released.

It's not about giving up - is it?

I'm seeing illusion & dreams.

Re: Trying makes it worse

Wow @TAB Beautiful.  Most of us English speakers only get to know about cliffs of Dover, of course it is not the only place like that.

@maddison Great lyrics.  Thanks for that. Yeah.  When is it a trauma dump and when is it trite and meaningless?  Not straightforward in my opinion.

Looked up your profile, I did not realise you had been around on the forum in 2014, a year before I had heard of it.  Struggling with the same situation I am guessing.  Not an easy path caring for someone with Schizophrenia. When I first came online I was disappointed by a lot of mental health forums that were limited to discussing diagnoses and medication. I was determined to open the field on here.  Think it has worked.

Hey @EternalFlower How are you.

Gotta go.  Gotta session online but going across town tonight to dance. Hoorah!

Brought in some leek from garden to put into a seafood green curry later for dinner.

Re: Trying makes it worse

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hi @TAB @Appleblossom @maddison

Interesting pic, u guys know a lot about art!

Share more, I love them

Very nice song @maddison I like the lyrics. Feels like a Melbourne song.

I was too good at share house living but I did backpacking and living wirh many ppl. U see lots of intense things about ppl!!

@Appleblossom it's based on  a book called "and the hippos were boiled in their tanks". It's written by Kerouac and Burroughs together, from 2 different perspectives, and each one writes in turn about the events  which seem to have actually happened.

I have never watched horror or true crime before this year, and now I find it really soothing.

Re: Trying makes it worse
