How have things been through the night?
Any interruptions?
Have the meds worn off?
I really liked that you asked your friend for canvas totes to be able to organise your things to leave. It shows healthy awareness and forward practical thinking.
@maddison "And no, it's not your fault - or my fault. Words are tricky things - listening is not about the words."
Yes the words are only part of the communication.
@Historylover Glad to share some good vibes ... even if its not the Beach Boys

Brian Wilson had his mental health issues. Did any of you see his biopic? I saw it last year.
If I am OCD its about following up mental health stuff.

When I was a kid I was not allowed to listen to anything pop. In year 9 a girl at school showed me how to play the piano bit of Spicks and Specks (the song) as there was a piano in the room. She was surprised I had never heard it. Pretty basic and thumpy. I never heard the actual song for many years. Just looked it up now. In a way it is good to have access to so much culture online .. makes it easier to connect the dots ... understanding what lead to what...making meaning. My son loved the show. I do not think that was a coincidence. He just loved it that people were having fun talking about music. Given his experience growing up seeing my mother and I doing all the teaching it was good for him to see the jokes and patter about it, not always formal teaching.
Listening is multi layered. Words may be uttered or applied to non verbal situations, but they are indeed tricky and not always about clarity, or dogmatic or straight correct this or that. There is a lot of slippage in language.
@Shaz51 Always good to see you. We have gone a long way together.
