Re: The great yoga adventure

I am bummed my yoga studio is closing so now I have to find some where else I like

Re: The great yoga adventure

Good evening everybody, I have warriored today - have you? I know that @Shaz51 and @Former-Member have. @CheerBear I can't remember if you have warriored today??? If not, this is your friendly reminder to do so. Smiley Very Happy

@Ant7 That sucks that you have to hunt for a new yoga studio. I super hope this doesn't discourage you from continuing. Maybe you should start looking right away...like now! Smiley LOL

Hmmm...I wonder where @Maggie @Former-Member @Former-Member and @TheVorticon are? I bet @soul is at a yoga class. Hee hee, @CheerBear I love that we seem to have transformed @soul into such a yoga fan. Smiley Very Happy

I had another look for a video of the peeing dog pose today and I can't find one. Of course it might help if I knew the proper name for the peeing dog pose. Is there anyone among us who actually has some knowledge of this yoga gig and who might know what the peeing dog pose is called? @Former-Member you're a seasoned yogi aren't you? Do you know what the pose that looks like a peeing dog is called???

@Appleblossom I googled that book that you asked about. I feel like I need a copy of it to plan my strategy of how to attack my muddle! Have you warriored today, by the way??? Smiley Happy

Ok, well I will be warrioring again tomorrow. My world is a bit dark and stormy right now, but warrioring is something I can choose to do even when everything is all in a muddle. I don't even have to get out of my PJs to do it! I super hope you will join me in warrioring again tomorrow. Smiley Happy

Re: The great yoga adventure

@Phoenix_Rising No warrior from me I'm a couch potato today, maybe tomorrow!!!!!!

Re: The great yoga adventure

I think I am a warrior whether I want to be or not ...... hopefully a peaceful one ......

Re: The great yoga adventure

Yes @Phoenix_Rising - I did go to a class today. We did so many downward dog poses and I feel that they are getting easier to do. The pace of tonight's class was rather fast. I think half the time I was a pose or two behind.

I shall ask the instructor at tomorrow's class what the peeing dog pose is officially called. I may have to demonstrate the move. Perhaps it's just a variation of downward dog. Not sure.

We also did a lot of cobra poses tonight. We were also Warriors so I have done my bit for the team.

I had a headache when I went to the class. I was a bit early so I was able to lay down for a bit and the pain seemed to pass, however it came back because the music that was playing during the session was far too loud. Hadn't encountered that before.

I hope you find a new studio soon @Ant7. Mine is very convenient. It's a 15 minute walk so I put on some soothing instrumental music and get myself in the zone before I arrive.

Re: The great yoga adventure

I warriored today @Phoenix_Rising 🙂

Re: The great yoga adventure

Re: The great yoga adventure

Being a pacifist mainly, and because I have only done one pose in total, I am still a tree. A tree I think I will stay. I like trees. 🙂

Re: The great yoga adventure

I used to love yoga, but unfortunately my yoga teacher left to live in another state.

I do remember sun salutation and warrior.  Got me thinking I started to do them again yesterday.  Doing the sun salutations helped me feel calm, peace and a great start for the day.

Must try to find another great yoga teacher close by and not too expensive 🙂
