Having a really slow day that I could do with a leg up. Mostly just having a self pity party for one. Struggling with motivation, feeling tired and sluggish after the best nights sleep in months and feeling ripped off.

Hi Teej, I'm feeling the same, sleepy autumn days. Sometimes if I oversleep I feel more sluggish - is that what you mean that you feel 'wripped off' maybe? even though you slept well? The cooler weather helps me sleep better. But today I pushed myself out of the house because I just realised its not living really, to lay around all day. So I got in the garden, transplanted some trees that had sprungbup in the wrong place. Cut down and poisoned others and weeds. Actually worked up a sweat. Was pleased with myself too - thought i couldnt do it all this time, but i can. Not feeling much better physically from it (arthritis) but my mind is a bit clearer and I'll go to bed knowing I did something different today. I think maybe our mood is kinda like a muscle that needs to warm up a little to get going. Maybe we can help each other with this.

Gardening or walk the block every day - what ya think?

Hi Teej, It is too late for my reply to be of any assistance today but hey how great that you had a good sleep. Just finding a sunny spot outside i find helpful sometimes. A coffee...I used to only drink decaf but my dr. suggested caffeine was good to have in the morning....a tea.....a magazine.....or just eyes closed with feet up listening to the sounds around can also be nice. Hope you have another restful night too.

A really wow day lapses. Loved your idea that moods could be like muscles that could need some help to get going. I think as well sometimes our mood muscle also needs permission just to rest.What do you reckon!!!!
