Re: Living with Ourselves

It definitely moved me too @Sophia1 I seemed to have some very socially minded kids that year and they really wanted to help out others before themselves - will never forget that group of kids that is for sure Smiley Very Happy

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1 Almost afternoon and the sun is shining. Thank goodness for that. My paving laying has turned out being a mini pool, 5 actually. I changed my mind half way through, so I have more holes than pavers now. Putting grass back patchwork style ( I think I should stick to handcrafts). It's bog outside from so much rain, not the best time to lay pavers. Next year it will be back together I hope.

Your cats sound like my little dog, passed on now. She hated my hospitilisations and all the changes life brought back then. But, there was no where else she would rather be than with me. I can imagine the antics your two get up to, amazing little companions.

Loving the animal pics. Hope your day is going as well as you would hope. I'm heading towards some cross stitch and a coffee. Cheers!!! No scones or beautiful carriages today. 🙃🙃💛💕💜🎶🎶🎶

Re: Living with Ourselves

oh dear @Maggie

about your paver project...

my sister used to have a bog pond...complete with fish....until large heron visited a couple of times and snacked on all of their fish! much to the frustration of her two large dogs unable to get through the fencing around the bog pond...

nature...

had to smile at the grass patchwork...have done that does work well...as long as you remember to have mud underneath even laugh..you might have created hills and dales with streams passing by laugh...

sorry did not realise that your little dog had passed on now...I do remember you talking about having a furry companion..

rainy...misty..dismal here...off to make some lunch

here is some hearty pumpkin lentil soup  with scrumptious home made bread to share...

plenty to go around....

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1 I have another Furbaby now, chewing on a bone the size of herself atm. Cute, but all dog underneath. Very much hills and dales @Sophia1 along with mud streams oozing by. You may laugh @Sophia1 long may you laugh. I'm thinking of buying gumboots, long ones. I don't remember it being this bad last year, we might have had more rain in a shorter time. I have a mint mat that should grow in between the pavers, eventually. Hope I don't get a flat inspection anytime soon.

I think you will have a line up for that soup and homemade bread, glad I got in first. Enjoy lunch, I'm off for a shower, more water, some never learn. 💜💕💜

@Maggie

yes soup does look yummy..

I know mud only too well....have always revelled in it...

even as an older adult gardening...planting...soil and water makes mud ...love it....used to muddy walks in fields and around the farm in UK...

next door cows are at the fence...too cold to go out and talk to them today...

husband off to play his sport...good outlet and escape from me for him..

do feel envious not about playing sport about mobility and peace of mind to be out there getting on with life pain free....

back to a day at a time..

lovely that you have a young...vigorous puppy eating a bone larger than self ...can well imagine..

enjoy the rest of your weekend...if I do not hear from you before...

need to move and stretch...

take careHeart

Re: Living with Ourselves

It's a Fox @Sophia1 I love Foxes, I think they're gorgeous.

Although they are a major pest (introduced predator) throughout Australia.
