Hebrews 12

- Therefore since we have such a large crowd of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us.

- Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us.

- Keeping our eyes on Jesus - the source and perfecter of our faith.

- For the joy that lay before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

- Endure suffering as discipline - God is dealing with you as children.

- Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness.

Hebrews 13

I think this is such an important text. And so often totally misunderstood by struggling believers.

My religious education had been obey your leaders using Romans 13 outside of the truth of God's word, (although simply replace the word God with The Truth and you see how accurate it becomes then,) For i was demanded to support those who had lied to the public on record and somehow that didn't matter. As if lairs further the Kingdom of God ever!

So when the Spirit showed me what He had meant to say, in my ears at least, He said 'If Jesus cries out Father forgive them, and Paul,  John  Peter and the rest, say good on Him. Then why do you think that National leaders who are proven liars, or preachers who preach death and destruction on those,  Christ paid for, is to be heeded or worse obeyed?

i thought that was a neat answer at the time!😍 

For now i understood why when God's Word is understood and taught in love for all, then all those who teach us out of this truth, should have authority in our thinking and feeling world. Without us loosing our freedom promised by Jesus but gaining more freedom yet His Truth.😁

@ENKELI Thanks! Good to have at least a few supporter so far my wife, and two friends also enjoyed reading it. Could you let me know if you feel something is not clear or to vague please? No pressure just if that happens.

i like be clear to readers but not always sure i am trying to condense the events.

i woke up angry as and after 3 hours of raging, even a big mouth to Jesus, my anger running over. And i had decided i cut off from my wife and kids and write my book and go, Jesus put a spoke in the works

He simply suggested, what if your my wife was scared after the first few bad psychoses, and after that every time you chased in that state she added more fear and hiding. Like you used to do hiding in your paranoia and rage for the first 14 years of marriage? Showing my how terrible locked up i had felt hiding but feeling i needing to that to keep the peace.

All the anger and rage l collected the three hours literally burned the moments realising that there was much more to my wife than heeding others about me. Even though she may have done that,  it is not the whole story.

We had been discussing the need to be honest and truthful before God's Word would begin to rebuild us. For a few years very seriously. And i recalled how my wife once said when i found her praying to Jesus after we had a moment between us - i have to be more honest.

So i understood this morning that my wife, for all the hardship that has caused us both, she has heeded that call - knowing she had to stop the hiding,  but knew i was not ready for her to come out of hiding me raging at her lying to me. And that both us had work to do on our own. Was a bit of balancing my frustration why she had felt it was important to do it this way. Helped a lot!👍

Black Shows Colourful In The Light

Eyes straining so very hard to have sight
Pupils straining against the darkest might
Trying to see more than only darkest night.
When sudden a light beam broke very bright
pierced that blackness filling eyes so blind.
Instantly more vision merely black and white.
New world full of colours now filled the sight.
Even as the light of The Sun dissolved night.

@Appleblossom Yep! My sister came for a six month holiday with her friend. This was a few weeks before she returned back. So her and her boyfriend took the time to show me around the place. Handy coming in a new Town. Stayed there for six months but was forced to leave, as the PM who was in power at the time left us with hardly any work where we had with a dead economy and a huge debt. (the PM got court with his pens down and was replaced soon thereafter, that brought us better times.) So i moved to the big city where i met my wife soon thereafter at Church. Although we didn't start dating till the Easter holidays next year April.

A story worth retelling as well, it was an weekend full of adventure as well as love - a love still alive although shaken to its core in both.

That is not a truth it is an opinion.

I am very sensitive to the negative comments of politicians as I believe we are lucky to have the right to vote. I don't like certain politicians but that is my opinion and nothing to do with "my truth."

I know I am probably the only person on Sane who respects politicians regardless of affiliation, and have made a few enemies because of my stance, but it would be nice to have a safe space where they are not spoken about negatively in situations such as this.

@ENKELI  i understand you loyalty to a system you appreciate

i myself do not share that view the same you do. Although i very much appreciate honest rulers. i  having worked for years with those who are on the receiving end of the system. Mainly for i know many many people suffer enormously unnecessary, and the system as is, is designed to keep it that way unfortunately.

The comment i made however was not my political view but my lived experience of the socio-economic-political climate we lived in. And my reference were the headlines of the day, and our economic reality, before the election, that change our living circumstance.

i agree with you about names. To be honest i did not think about that as such. i merely recalled the realities that greatly swayed the political atmosphere of the day and brought us better living conditions than before. Just sharing my recall of the days with @Appleblossom
