@Former-Member, thanks for the encouragement re: getting out of the flat. The year got off to a very slow start in that regard, especially during the hotter weather. But it seems to be picking up a little now that it's a bit cooler. It helps to have friends to go out with too. Tomorrow I meet my support worker at a shopping centre to do more fruit and veg shopping for green smoothies. The challenge this time is for me to get myself there and back with my shopping cart on the bus of my own volition. It's wonderful that you have such a generous and lovely brother.
