Ack, that's unfortunate @Till23 . Sport grounds where I am just reopened yesterday after half a week closed from the rain bogging. Hope the sun comes out soon enough though and you can get back to sport.
I personally love rainy days. I dont like walking, but walking in the rain feels a little nicer?! Maybe because there are less people out in it and I tend to have it to myself. 😅 I do not like driving in the rain though...
Working is still a challenge for me @Cuddlebear . I have come to accept that I can only work part-time. I am lucky to work in IT so that if I'm working I earn more per hour than my cleaner costs per hour, so I can offload some physically tiring chores instead. If I was on a minimum-wage job I would probably not be able to work due to housework pressures. Going into a work office is my motivation for showering 😅; days i spent at home i ahhh yeah that's harder to do 😬😶🌫️. I sometimes book appointments in the morning on non-work days *so that* i have to make myself get up and shower. You are not alone in that struggle. It's one of those "hard to admit to people" things for me, how poor I am at hygiene when im home.
@NightFury that sounds an interesting course! 🙂
I just paid off my HECS from my undergraduate degree before the end of the tax year. I never expected i would because of being a part-time worker, never thought i'd earn enough to. But I got really lucky with a job and have managed to save up to pay it off. 😊 but now I dont want to get another hecs debt lol.
I do like that a number of courses allow you to do Grad Cert, Grad Dip, then Masters - and you only need to commit to each step so if you stop you still get a qual. I've been looking at some of those types.

Thanks @AlwaysMyself @tyme forecast is for rain for almost a week.
Water is now about 4inches (10 cms) at my front door step, so not easy to even get to front yard. It is currently thundering. It's windy too so rain blowing straight across back verandah
So won't be getting any sun or any sport in for a while. Such is life.
I quite like a rainy day and especially listening to rain in my roof, but I don't really like days and days of rain in a row though. Had a power outage yesterday afternoon. Had to put my tea cup on top of fire to heat up to have a luke warm cuppa yesterday afternoon, lucky I have a fire as that was my only source of heat and light yesterday afternoon. It was cold though so fridge contents ok. But power has been ok today.
Good kitchen haul @Shaz51
I'm expecting a lot of chewed leaves when I can finally get to my garden or even my pots on verandah.
I hope you can get rid of them. Usually I grow sacrificial plants so I can get to have butterflies after I let the caterpillars chew those leaves

OMG @Till23 that's some rain!!! 😮 I think that would also be "too much rain" in my books too!
I love the sound of rain on a roof too. 🙂
Glad you have a fire to cook and heat during the power outage! Feels like camping?
I love that you grow plants *for* the caterpillars/nature. 😊 my mum does that for the bees in her veggie garden.
@Shaz51 ive stocked up on Iced coffee this morning, so I will pour a glass (in honour of you having a cuppa) and drink it myself 😉😆.
Would love to get to know Ale and Mooge if they duck in. 🙂 (sorry, my tagging isn't working fully for people not in the immediate suggestion list)

@AlwaysMyself I hear you on the HECS debts. Very impressive you’ve paid it off and if it was me I’d be thinking just like you and trying not to get another one. What type of IT work do you do? Is it enjoyable?
I do like rain and sometimes enjoy walking about in the rain lol. I love the smell of rain too it really calms me. It’s just such a nice smell.
Yes it is challenging to maintain full time work. I’m really glad you have a plan that works well for you. Honestly I realise that part time work is challenging and as you said if you don’t earn a bit more per hour other stuff would be really hard like keeping the home tidy. Getting out of bed and getting ready and to work is hard no matter how many hours you are working. I think sometimes doing it even if you feel yucky and/or find it hard helps a lot.
I’m on NDIS and I have cleaning and domestic duties funding. Not much though. 2 hours a week for each but I rent and I’m not in a big place so able to get a bit more out of the funding allocated. I’m deaf and blind and have a part foot amputation which is why I have that.
Thank you for sharing that you too find it hard with some basic stuff like showering. I really love your strategies for having a shower. It helps to know that I’m not the only one and that things can improve too.
It’s really kind of you to share and be so empathetic. I’m having a bad time of it all and really appreciate you taking the time to care.
