Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

On a particular day, Pooh Bear was certain that Piglet had stolen his honey.

All his honey jars were empty.

What a calamity...

Then it was carefully explained to Pooh that he had in fact eaten all of the honey himself- during one of his midnight Snack Attacks....

To be continued.....

Hi Everyone,

It is 2.15 am, as I start this little note (oh!!! a short note from HenryX) Sorry, Not a short note.

I have been at the computer since I arrived home from Geraldton at about 8.00 pm yesterday.

Have written a personal-ish note and another that I hope will be supportive to another member who is keen to seek employment, while at the same time being aware, or developing awareness of MH conditions and limitations.

I've checked each of the new notifications and supported those that I have read. I support, as acknowledged, all notes that I read, except those that seem to be short notes between specific members. Though I do support any specifically positive and encouraging notes of any type.

With regard to this thread, I am keen to participate, but find that I am writing about my own or common issues, rather than, or instead of the theme or topic. I admire the creativity that everyone has shown in the story so far, and have really enjoyed reading everyone's contributions. I did say that my "inner child" was not terribly well developed. Creative play was something that I only remember experiencing before the time that I was about 5 yrs old, which was when I left Brisbane with my parents and brother.

I just deleted the last few lines because I didn't want to go back there. It is like so many things, that people who can remember creative play, and immerse themselves in such an activity, may not be aware that others may not have had those sorts of experiences. Recently, when I described the environment in which I lived as a child, the counsellor, with whom I was speaking, was really surprised that what I described was not what she would have expected in a child's life. Maybe that's what I am dealing with even at this stage of my life, which is what I refer to as "the other end". I think, for some of these reasons, I have enjoyed flax's contributions, as I have indeed, each of the parts presented by all participants.

It is also possible that sometimes, great creativity comes from desperation. Authors like Edgar Allan Poe and Albert Camus may be examples of such writing. And yet we also see such tenderness, care and concern arising from desperate circumstances. I think that great creativity can be a product of many different collective or separate circumstances, impositions, joys, and knowledge. An example of the latter being Isaac Asimov an American writer and professor of biochemistry at Boston University. Asimov was a prolific writer, known for his works of science fiction and popular science, who wrote or edited more than 500 books. He also wrote an estimated 90,000 letters and postcards. Asimov is one of my favoured authors, as are the other two, in different ways.

So, I believe that each person contributes and expresses what is a part of them, in whatever way that they can, or have the capacity to develop.

It has taken me nearly an hour to write this "short note", including looking up a couple of references. It is an expression of who and where I see myself as being. I do write carefully, as you have observed and referenced Sophia and Meggle. I know that others, who at times find my writing style as challenging, often see something else that I have written, and view my previously read work from another perspective. I do hope that collectively, what I write has value to people, in one way, or possibly, a variety of ways. I also give my best endeavour to adhere to the principles and ethic of the forums.

One day the principal of the school called me into the office. I was about 15 at the time. He said words to the effect, "...Name..., you seem to be rather introverted". Now, although I knew what he was saying, I didn't understand how I should respond. Unfortunately, we did not connect at that time, and no further attempt was made to address those thoughts or ideas with me. That event came to mind as I thought of myself being outside the circle of what I might perceive as "normal". Maybe I should print these notes to take with me to counselling discussions. And maybe I have to allow myself to be within “the circle”. I can say that I endeavour to do that to the best of my ability. I feel relatively safe in the small community in which I have lived since 2009. But have felt burned in lots of other previous positions and locations. Whether that was a result of lack of caution, awareness, cases of misplaced trust or an incapacity to foresee problems. Possibly a combination of each of those.

In any way that I can contribute, I am really happy to support this thread. I have also tried to write my thoughts in the third person, thinking that might break the surface tension. But what I write is as it is.

With My Very Best Wishes

to All

HenryX

For Kanga. who was enjoying the Christopher Robin & Friends in the Forest storyline, this plus the surfing is a bit much, her mind can't stretch that far, so I will bow out 🙂 I also am really behind on my forum notifications! So had better catch up on them instead.

Thank you for the last 3 weeks of fun and silliness and inner child-ness, dear Friends! 🙂

haha @Flax

love the

"moi nad Geoffrey Rush"

I am assuming you meant  and

I have had many faux pas writings on varying threads not just this one.

I looked up the meaning of nad just for fun and this is what I found.

Am thinking would be wonderful to include this character

Are you brave enough to take on two characters or vitually three if we included Ariadne as well as Sooty

Who is NAD and what does nad stand for?
NAD is an abbreviation for New Acoustic Dimension. The company was founded in London, England, in 1972 by Dr. Martin L. Borish, an electrical engineer with a PhD in physics.

Dr Martin L Borish shortened to Borish. An electrical engineer with a PhD in physics might come in handy at some stage of the story.
Leave that one up to you.

Sooty joing the Roman Legions could end up being a story within a story like Cosi a play within a play.

@Oaktree @HenryX @Adge @Shaz51 @Sophia1  along with followers

I shall try to add my latest contribution to the story from the responses received.

Thank you all so much

Dear  @HenryX

You have written a heartfelt, poignant reply.

I appreciate greatly the time that you spent preparing, editing and responding.

You have grief and sadness in your past.

I feel the loss between the words.

You write beautifully within your own style which I know that you constantly feel challenges some.

Bypass those people.

Please write as you are.

You have a very authentic style revealing a very caring, tender soul who has experienced too much for a child at such a young age.

The inner child is different within each person and therefore is reached, expressed, explained, not yet discovered and so very much more, differently by each of us.

This thread is about writing in our own styles; stretching our imaginations, even when we think that we are not, we actually are.

Reading along without responding is also another way of stretching your imagination.

Above all people writing here are offering each other support. People hitting the support button as they read along are offering their own style of support.

This is what supporting others with short or long term pain in mind and body is about.

We are not text books, we are human beings who have tender feelings and are worthy and valued.

We are ourselves.

We are.

Your support means everything to all of us and if this is how Henry X Rush  wishes to continue , I say wonderful for being with us.
